Pascalo - that's funny.
I saw a gent on a white bicycle with sleeve tats from wrist to elbow 3.30 ish you were waiting to turn out from Camberwell station rd onto Camberwell New Rd (southbound). We exchanged a bemused look.
I was heading towards Oval and struggling to comprehend the actions of the massive lorry that kept veering in and out of the miserly cycle path and wobbling due to what I think is probably a dead headset which I need to sort out if anyone has any 1" Campag (pref), FSA or miche threaded headsets that I can take a look at .... (will stick this in the classifieds!)
Also spotted a man sporting a white condor cap, linen shirt and beige shorts cycling down Kennington Rd towards oval approx 3.45pm today. we exchanged a glance. hello. :)

Yes apologies again for the plethora of errors. amended!
This may well be a very stupid question, which I cannot find the answer to on the London Ambulance site, but I've seen a few of those big ambulances about and wondered what the difference was, besides the obvious fact that they are bigger?
It is my reason for assuming that the accident was serious, but this assumption is founded on nothing other than the fact that the ambulance was not a 'regular' ambulance....
(although given all my mistakes in this thread I will forgive you if you don't believe me!)

ah sorry.......i was muddling my roads in the map in my head, which funnily enough does not correspond to anything as it actually appears on a London map!
It was where OKR meets humphrey st- looked like possible collision or maybe a solo tumble off the road onto the pavement......
could have been a car heading from Humphrey St onto Albany road, or just a fall onto the pavement. The scale of the ambulance and the position of what looked to be the cyclist (a bit too far in on the pavement to have fallen - looks to have travelled some distance) suggested something ominous.
I hope I am wrong.

Giant ambulance (you know the massive trucklike ones?) attending to a cyclist on the pavement. Black MTB with clip-on rear plastic mudguard was leaned up on a wall behind them....
Blue plastic bag-like material around the person down, which gave me a bad feeling.
No tape / screens up and no police present.
Two ambulance men - one onlooking and one seemingly crouched by the person.
Person looked to be in a slump although it could have been clothing - was hard to tell.
Crossing everything for them.

He fell off his bike (on his helmeted head) round the corner from the pub. Ambulance and police.
The sad thing is we did not realise for a while that it was ASM.
I hope you are ok Alex!
Hey guys
Alex is doing fine now - he was concussed and confused and has hurt his elbow so will be off the bike for a few weeks.
The helmet is fucked and totally saved the back of his skull by the way.
He remembers things now and I haven't taken advantage of the blanks in his memory (yet) ;-)
PHEW. Thanks for your concern!
Also, +1000 to the Camberwell King's Hospital massive / ambulance fellows.
They were very awezome.

Tackling them yourself would have been foolish. Alerting the police to their presence could do no harm. mind you when I recently phoned in a pregnant lady being sold crack in front of kids in brockwell park to Brixton police station they put me on hold for ages and then told me to call crimestoppers by which point the people in question had wrapped up their charming affair in the bush. So maybe don't do the logical thing and waste your time and credit on the local police station....

Hi
Selling my ladies road bike as finally finished the build on my new one.
Bought in Sept 2009. Been ridden every day since, so cosmetic damage as expected but otherwise bike is in good condition!
Replaced chain and cassette in late Feb.
Frame size - small (46.5- compact geometry)
I'm 5'5" and the top tube is actually too short for me - and even with a longer stem. So I would recommend this bike for ladies 5'0" to 5'3" at a guestimation.
Necessary tweaks will be made before sale - cables/brake pads etc.
It is currently selling online new for £835-£660.
I'd happily take £400 ono for mine, inc. shimano M520 spd pedals and cleats.

Hey
Don't know if you've found anywhere but there will be rooms free in our house from 15 july onwards....if you haven't i can let my housemates know as they are currently looking for people to fill their rooms whilst they are away for the summer...
it is in new cross though so not ideally situated for you i guess.
Campagnolo Record preferred but would look at an FSA or Miche one.
Mine's fucked and begging to cause me an accident.
