It has a quil seatpost (much like some BMC's), belt drive, and a reverse steerer set-up (steerer part of the stem, not the fork). I'm not sure these things add much to performance (apart from the belt obviously ;) ), but I love it any way.

I would recon a bit more than that, pretty frame, good geo and doesn't look factory made. The brooks is worth a pretty Penny too. £170-200

How much were you going to pay for the beast of the east out of interest? They were'nt expensive frames when the came out £400-500 f+f (fork being a £100 p-bone) and £900 for a full bike with magura's. They were helluva rare even new though, I think I have only ever seen 4 in the flesh ever and me and my friend daryl owned 2 of them.

BOTE are rare? My dad just picked up a sweet one with xtr and carbon bits for £300.
