Do people still play Call of Duty? I've been dabbling in it again recently so that I'm not completely useless when the new one comes out but I'm not sure if I can be bothered to get excited about it (for the first time ever I haven't even reached prestige on MW3)...
Is the time of first person shooters over or am I just not on the ball with what's new?

I don't know - I did it on my own yesterday.
When I spoke to them they said they'd had a massive surge of interest recently & I'd guess they're not usually that busy but the olympics/summer feeling has boosted their numbers.
I am quite looking forward to next week - I find long rides much more enjoyable in a group.

Going back the South London clubs; I'll be going out with DP next week so thought it would be a good idea to try out their Saturday route on my own just to make sure I don't embarrass myself... It went okay but I would certainly not fancy it on fixed, there was a lot of climbing (obviously other people might be fine with it)!
Here's the route if anyone's interested (ignore the Brixton bit - they start in Herne Hill). http://app.strava.com/activities/19071960

It's like you've been watching my history Bothwell - I've been looking at the same thing (including this thread) in the same area.
I used to ride with Twickenham CC but stopped when I moved house as the commute to get to the early weekend rides was just too far (ironic considing the distance of the rides I'd be willing to do)...
I've been thinking about rollers or brixton but the apparent lack of online activity kind of put me off both.I'll check out the Dulwich Paragon site...

They've changed the light sequence on Chiswick High road at one of the main junctions for some reason (not an Olympic lane or at a junction that can be used to get on one) - it's turned the whole road into a farce!
It almost looks like someone is just messing around with the switch with it flicking between red & green in a matter of seconds - so now the road has gone from a bit busy during commuter times constant stationary traffic all day.

Wow - Sparky's ride of hills in the Tooting/Brixton area is really close to where I live, might try those routes rather than wasting time riding out West (don't know the South area very well).
Is there a way to follow someone else's strava route? Ie make my phone guide me along that exact ride (at a slower pace)?

Finally done it in less than an hour, don't know if I'm more happy about that or about being able to add myself to the list without breaking it!
Had to make a new segment though as none of the other ones were counting my last lap for some reason, seems to be working now though - just started it further outside the gate.
Gro Hair in Clapham is pretty good for bang on £20. Looks a bit hip from the outside but they're friendly & consistent.
