Old news but reading Boris' statement against tax credit cuts this morning highlighted the absurdity of the Tories' suggestions that they want to make anyone better off but their rich mates.
Surely to admit that that the "hardest working families" are also the worst paid automatically negates any suggestion that capitalism (at least as we know it) can be meritocratic. Unless, of course, they don't actually think that poor people work hard...

It was more that the skidding was indicative of a rear brake that wasn't shit.

Mini Vs. I think that what's happened is because the wheel wasn't running perfectly straight it's rubbed the pads in a weird shape so that when I adjust the brake a bit there may only be a tiny bit of pad providing any friction.

After a few days' fun skidding around I'm getting shit AGAIN from my rear brake. I tweak the pads or the wheel or the tension and it works a bit better for a ride or two and then it's fucked again and it's SO FRUSTRATING

Had a Bates of London HGV abort an overtake on New N Road bridge yesterday evening, almost crushing me in the process.
