Ok I've been away for a few weeks so just posting this again, sorry for the spam. I agreed sales for the DP18 wheels and the Conti gp4s's but couldnt manage to arrange pick up or delivery before I left, I have messaged the buyers but no response yet so these are back on the market.
Prices are negotiable on everything except the frame, wheels and tyres as these are super low already.

This is so cool. I am a very lazy person generally but would actually consider putting in some work for this sickness. I wonder if it would make my all black rat/beater more desirable to thieves though...
Do you know somewhere I could pick up suitable black plastic, would you post some you got from work for a small fee?

753? Concorde? ST 56cm c-t TT 54cm c-c, Not sure if the decals are correct but it was sold to me as a 753 concorde, its a fair bit lighter than the raleigh and has nice lugs. It has a big dent in the TT but I rode it like this for 6 months on the manchester potholes, I can't see it causing a problem really (no guarantees obviously, buyers discretion).
Cost me £50 will sell for £40>35

Hi Betty, I live in M8 postcode, just north of the city centre. I rent a pretty nice and relatively spacious 1 bed flat for £400 a month, which is much cheaper than I could get in most of south manchester for the same sort of place. Its not the greatest area but i'm 5 mins ride from the city centre.
I totally agree about letting agents being shit, I rent from a private landlord now who is an absolute legend and super helpful...

Wow SWijland, that is absolutely gorgeous, tell me it didn't fit you, that is the only reason I can think to sell that on?!
Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. I just took it on its first longish ride today, fucking beautiful weather and explored some new and stunning scenery north of manchester. I am just wondering how the hell I went 4 years without a road bike till I built this up!

Okay so I went to get this after work but google failed me and I ended up at the offices near the cricket ground and not the factory.
Oh well!
Funnily enough I work at the BG office right next to the Kellogs one there, I also didn't go the extra 5 mins away and get the tag though. Only my motivation and the weather failed me.

I was riding along in rusholme the other day and some dude walked in front of me, I swerved to go in front of him and he kicked me trying to knock me off. I stopped and started shouting at him and he was walking away shouting back etc. So I started after him cos I was in a bad mood and this twat was the last straw, I was raging. Then these 2 other guys get out of a car and they are with him and they look scary and start coming towards me, all my anger evaporated and I jumped on my bike and rode off again. Moral of the story... There are some fucking cunts about.

Original thread is here:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread98422.html
So around xmas I bought a beautiful Casati framset made from Columbus Neuron, from Fisk, of this forum. It is lovely and obviously deserves a really nice italian groupset and good components, but I just wanted to get it on the road as quick as possible, so its pretty utilitarian right now, but I think it looks nice. Most importantly it rides like a dream.
My original budget including frame was about £500, total build came in just under that at about £480
Spec as follows:
2013 Sora Groupset
except the brake calipers which are campy centaur
shimano 501 wheelset
bontrager ssr compact bars
Cinelli Pinochio stem
Alpina seatpost off an old bike
Madison prime saddle
Michelin pro race 4 tyreshttp://farm6.staticflickr.com/5342/8823743736_b053805816_h.jpg

No idea about flavour and what bits are made of 531, it just has orginal 531 decals on and is fairly light. I am not that bothered about it because I was trying to shift it for under £50 and nobody would take it so I don't care if it gets trashed to be honest. I also have another beater frame, which is really light (possibly 753) but has a huge dent in the top tube and is ratty as hell, I can use that for polo as it is slighly better fit. It does have a tight front end and toe overlap though... i dunno, if i get an offer on either I have to shift one...
-
Its sort of a mottled white and baby blue, a bit scratched and peeling decals but no dents or dings and it rides lovely it also has mudguard eyelets.
I was planning to keep this and turn it into a polo bike but could be persuaded to part with it as I have something else I could use. there are some pics in my profile of the bike, they are crappy but they give you an idea of how it looks. If you would like to see it in person that can be arranged.

If you would post it to manchester I have a friend who will almost certainly take it as he is after something exactly like this and in this size. Is that an option?
