11 speed are dog shit.

8 speed Alfine is reasonable.
8 speed nexus is meh
7 speed nexus is ok

Not heard anything about the latest wave of 5 (?) speed nexus but apparently meant to be better.

Rohloff is king.

IMO unless you’re a granny a derailleur setup beats hub gear other than rohloff.

I’m looking for something I can buy easily in a packet and quickly make sandwiches (for lunch at work) with. Convenience is key.
