It's a high end bike and a sub optimal time of year to be selling what's likely to be most people's best (fair weather) bike, as indeed it was mine. I think it's most likely that I'll have to split it, but it's such a sweet ride I'm happy to let it linger for a bit as a complete bike before splitting.

I ride my cx and xc mtb clipped in off road, but for anything vaguely jumpy it's flats all day long. Jumping anything bigger clipped in scares the life out of me. Sometimes you just need to throw a leg out or dab to correct balance from a poor take off.
I had a friend who rode clipped for everything and when he had some skills training the tutor insisted it was being clipped that was causing his bad habits as he didn't need the correct technique to lift the back end of the bike. Sound familiar?
He went to flats (admittedly not down pleney for his first attempt) and like you he hated it. He hated it for 3 or 4 rides, but persisted, practicing jumping as much as he could, and now loves it and wouldn't go back. He's now riding blacks at BPW on his hardtail.
Maybe meet at Rogate one day as there's a nice run with several fun tabletops that can be sessioned?

Sold to @SIX-T
Very nice to meet you and the beer was an extremely nice gesture. Thank you! Thanks to everyone who got in touch about the frameset. A lot of Surly fans out there.

Bought new in May this year. Absolutely brilliant bike. Don't really want to sell it TBH but it's part of my (now annual) bike line up rethink. I've decided I don't want/need a road bike anymore so selling my roadie as I much prefer riding this (so why am I selling it?)
Whilst I genuinely love it as its so versatile with my 650b x 2.25" mtb wheels and tyres plus 700c x 40c CX/gravel tyres giving 2 very different and equally fun riding experiences, I reckon that if I ditch the roadie entirely then I need my "gravel bike" (for want of a better word) to be a lighter option to tackle the occasional road ride too.
So reluctantly, frame, fork and Hope headset are up for sale. The frame is a 50cm which has an effective top tube length of 54cm. Flat mount brakes, 100x12mm thru axle fork and 142x12mm thru axle rear. Tonnes of mounts for bike pacing/touring/commuting duties. More info on the frame here...

I've taken lots of pics over the 774 miles I've covered on it as I'm smitten with it and reckon it looks the shiz. There are pics with the 700c and 650b wheels in. The clearance is tight-ish on the 650b x 2.25" tyre in the fork, although there's more generous clearance in the frame. Tried to show this in the pics. I'd probably recommend a slightly smaller front tyre if you're considering the 650b option, although I've never had any issues with it clogging up or rubbing myself.
£420 feels like the right price for the world's friendliest forum. Makes it about half price and its only about 6 months old.
Based near Maidstone. PM me if you have questions or are interested to work out delivery options.
Cheers, Damian.

Amazing bike. I'm just not doing enough road riding to justify keeping it.
Was built in Jan 2019, first ride in Feb 2019 as I waited for a dry day. Frameset, etap groupset, wheels, chainring, all new at the time. The powermeter, handlebars, tyres, stem and seatpost were all a little older but all in tip top condition.
Frame is a 2019 Genesis Volare 931 stainless steel disc in size small (53.6cm effective top tube). Fork is the stock Genesis full carbon disc tapered fork supplied with the frame. Both are bolt through, flat mount.
Groupset is Sram Red HRD etap 11 speed. I have all the original boxes and chargers, leads, disc spacers etc. Think the cassette is 11-32. Rotors are 140mm. Chainset is 170mm quarq d-zero hidden bolt powermeter with Absolute Black 52/36 rings. Pedals are ultegra carbon. Bottom bracket is a Hope pressfit jobbie.
Wheels: Hope 20Five disc wheels with orange centre lock hubs. Tyres are 25c Conti GP4000S clinchers. Running tubes at the mo, but wheels are tubeless ready.
Handlebars: Easton EC90 carbon compact drop, 40cm width. Stem: Syntace F109 100mm 31.8mm clamp, ti bolts. Decals removed. Seatpost: not the hope one in the images, I'll replace this with a black Thomson layback (27.2mm). Saddle: I'm sure any buyer will have their own saddle preference so I'd like to keep the saddle currently on the bike, so no saddle included.
The ride is excellent as you would expect from such a high end bike. I'm 5'9" with slightly longer leg/shorter body proportions and it fits me like a glove.
Due to a massive preference for mtb and cx since I built it, it's only covered 800 miles.
Looking for £2750. Based in Kent. PM me for more info or if you have questions. Cheers.

Hey. Sadly I've not got to Windhill yet. It's a bit further for me than it is for you, but I'm really keen to go at some point. Not sure how it copes with the British winter weather.
Would also be keen to hear other people's experiences of riding it.
