The problem was that they had been an authorised dealer but lost the status, they used their own guys to do a service and promised it would be the same.. It wasn't.

My dad is very old-fashioned, he's nervous to send it off somewhere. He wants to give it to a dealer directly to deal with. bodieanddoyle has given me a lead to follow up.

A question for you guys:

My dad has an old Rolex he had been wearing for years and he had it serviced regularly. He gave it to Goldsmiths in Lincoln a while ago and it was serviced poorly and as a result no longer works for more than a short while before stopping. He doesn't want to give it back to them but to find a proper Rolex place to service/fix it, does anyone know the best place?
