This is a stunning Volante track frame set built with Bates patented Cantifllex tubing – this is a larger diameter in the centre of each of the three main tubes and builds a really responsive stiff frame and together with the registered design Diadrant forks and attractive hand cut lugs, make a very distinctive frame.
23" seat tube 22" top tube-I'll need to double check these dimensions along with the rear spacing tonight.
No mudguard fittings but it is drilled for a rear brake, either could be altered easily when it is painted.
It came to me with at least two coats of hammerite,so I had it bead blasted by a frame builder to check for structural problems, but it is in excellent condition.

A real top racing machine in it's day!

The Oilbath replaces the RH chain stay on these to save weight.

Amazing original condition. The brooks saddle is a little tired, but after 90years I would be .
Has a 2 speed bottom bracket gear, but the cable giude needs re-brazeing-it is an easy job,I just have no time.

Amazingly engineered rod brakes and q/r saddle bag support,

Everything is just so well engineered
A bargain at £500 collect NW London. -
Just rescued from the tip, needs TLC but well worth saveing 23 inch seatube c-top
22 inch toptube c-center
K-type hub with internal brake on the rear and two caliper brakes.
26x1 1/4 wheels,no saddle or pedals.
£50 collected NW London, about what I could get for the early K-type lever and Raleigh front wingnuts.
This is quite big for a pre-war bike.

It is big!
21.5" seatube, 24" toptube c-c
I was going to make some dropouts of ali sheet the same thickness- fairly easy for track style dropoutsand just a bit laborious with a hacksaw and file but a lot less than £50.
Brake bosses are rivited on will so will come off very easily.or move the bosses up a little to take 700c wheels -

Mountain bike frame For 26" wheels
Unusual early alloy frame about 20" I think,I'll check and let you know.
Really nice condition I was going to make up some track dropouts for it(the dropouts are replacable)should be easy enough with some alloy plate.and have a nice alternative to a Pompino
Change of plan means it is now for sale.
only £70 collect NW London or I will post for £15
