Hi all,
I'm in the process of setting up a community based bicycle workshop project similar to the Bikeworks and Bristol Bike Projects. The aim is to setup the workshop as a Community Interest Company, focusing on helping disadvantaged young people develop skills and to generally get people on two wheels cheaply.
The chosen location for the project is within Tottenham around the area of the Lordship Recreation Ground and White Heart Lane. The area is seriously deprived and hopefully this project can help some of it's more effected members. Currently Homes for Harringey are really pushing to develop social enterprises within the area, opening up a number of opportunities for project spaces and potential funding.
I'm looking for someone with an interest in community projects and a good level of competency in bike repair that can help me with the setup and running of the project. If you are interested please drop me a pm as i'd like to discuss things further.

Mavic Aksium 700 front. Well used, but true. £30 http://i.imgur.com/7YOzj.jpg
MKS Carbon 260 pedals with christophe toe clips. Pedals are a bit stiff and could use a bit of lubrication, otherwise good. £10 http://i.imgur.com/ipV06.jpg
Vitus 992 Dural Ovoid, aluminium 54 frame. Be warned however that the frame needs new forks which from what I gather can be a tad hard to get hold of. £60 http://i.imgur.com/zLBoA.jpg
Cheap handle bars and crank £3 each http://i.imgur.com/KxmlL.jpg
I'm based in Manchester and would prefer not to post, but I can arrange something if needed. Cheers

Hi,
I'm looking for a 47-49cm frame or complete bike, preferably steel frame road or mixte but I'm open to other genres. My budget is a maximum of £250 for the right complete bike or around £60-70 for just a frame/forks. My object is to get on the road as quick as possible, so any offers would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Alex

Hi,
I have just clear lacquered my frame, and was hoping someone would have a few tips on the post lacquer treatment. I was intending to lightly sand the top coat, to even out my gash job, but now I'm not too sure if this will do too much damage. Is there a technique, or am I just doomed to a lumpy coat,
Cheers.
