The Kona logo on those levers is from '91 - '93.
Kona did not produce a bike equipped with V-brakes during this time, they were all equipped with canti's.
Don't think they sold a v-brake equipped bike until '96.
So no, those levers are short-pull for canti's.
From the tiny amount of the fork I can see, I guess that your Fire Mountain is a '96 and should have come equpped with Acera-X canti's.

I just got into guitars and I'm experiencing a rush of interest and enthusiasm (obsession).
I have since realised that this relics thingy is kinda the SPD vs Flats shit debate equivalent. I tried to deflect on to discussion about Amp modelling but that Gretsch brought me back.
