IMHO, you are nuts buying a Vespa. I used to have a Gilera Runner - similar idea but better performance. was bored V E R Y quickly, migrated to a Suzuki SV650 an then onto a Triumph Speed Triple. I have now moved onto bicycles as they are far more fun and convenient....

Keep the bike and drop the Vespa idea.

BTW - whilst those wheels may have cost you £300 to build (ex tyres and tubes), the used value is significantly lower...

haev a set of schwalbe marathon plus 28c and tried a 700 with them on teh fork... fit will be fine me thinks.

Re deep drop brakes - does anyone have any view on Tektro vs Alhonga?

I am after a used (but not knackered) Brooks. Interested in the following:

Professional
B17 narrow

Colour not important as the saddle colour will drive the bar tape.

3ttt Mod Competizione Gimondi 43 Very, very good condition. There's quite a bit of tape residue which makes them look tatty, if I had time I would clean them up and they'd look very nice indeed. Minimal marks from installation. Very nice.
