There HAS been a lot of complaints about him and it does seem he is having problems at home.
Maybe he should put selling on hold until he sorts his home life out.
+1
Myself, I have had nothing but good experiences with Hilary, but I agree if you cannot commit to turning a deal around in reasonable time, it's probably best not to start one. We can all be understanding of personal circumstances, which have to take priority, but when you are proposing an exchange of goods for money, you are obliged to provide a service of some sort....even if it's just communication.
The best thing is to go and visit the man, you will see how much bikes are his life. From just the brief conversations it is clear that he has a vast collection of goods. Without traders like Hilary, we'd all be struggling to finish our projects so easily with great/affordable parts. There must be a huge amount of bikes on here that owe something to the man, that in itself is a great achievement. Definitely not a bad trader, maybe just spread a bit thin at the mo.

I would guess so, I don't have any liners to try. They are a pretty thin and close fitting glove, adding liners might affect your sizing. They do hold their shape and fit suprisingly well though. Like I say, i have only had issues with the tips of my fingers and that was in that cold spell before christmas. I might try the liner option myself if it gets colder again this season, as i do like the fact they don't restrict any hand movement, grip, etc.

Has anyone used the Rapha winter gloves?
Yes, i've been using them this autumn/winter. They are nice, if a little pricey. Padded in the right places, very light and comfy gloves (if a little short on the wrist) Worse thing is, they let the biting winds in on the tips of fingers, which is a bit of a flaw for "winter" gloves. Bonus is you can pretty much do anything with out taking them off every 5 minutes. I bought them cheap, they are a bit bobbled now, but i reckon i would buy another pair, especially if they were in the sale. They serve a purpose, but i use my Lobster mitts for very cold weather.

I dont have the spanner to service it. No biggy, think they're a couple of quid to buy, just haven't got round to it myself.Garmin Edge 705 GPS - Euro Bundle (Maps, cadence, HR monitor, etc)*- SOLD*
Bought recently second hand, although unit was a new replacement at the time. Original owner had sent one back to have screen repaired and Garmin eventually sent out a new unit, in the mean time he had bought another and this was for sale...anyways, i dont use it to it's full potential, so it's got to go to a better home. Has the Euro Cities Maps (extra £80) and the Heart Rate Monitor, Cadence, Bike mounts and all the gubbins, will have to dig out some zip ties though. Condition is as new, no scratches, etc and functions as it should. There appears to be one dead pixel which is only noticable on dark backgrounds it seems. Will try and get some pics up.Schwalbe "Milano" Tub 700x22 - As new in packaging - SOLD

you can build it up like this...

I fucking love this pic, fucking lovely build.
I have to agree, looks the bees bollocks, no? I built (still building) mine up like this, it's a blast to ride.Perfect for this time of year. I forgot how much better it is to ride over things, than around them.
Good luck with the sale.

The police didn't call it kettling!?! it's, constructive cordening for the public safety blah, blah... Or some shit. We're all fucked, I swear it.
There were alot of young kids there and the police where pretty heavy handed, it's a disgrace. At one point they were charging us with horses ffs.
Much fewer protestors than a couple weeks back, much more police, much more trouble. Funny that. Then I get home, put on the news to see if people were still being copper kettled * I mean constructive...* only to discover the joys of the "White paper". Jeeze, where is this all heading, God only knows.

Went and picked up this Fred Dean today. Had been floating around on CTC forum for a bit, with collection only from Cornwall, nobody had taken it. As it was only a short drive away, i put in an offer and made it mine. Needs a lot of love, but the atlanta and Dura Ace 100mm stem, Giros, milremo saddle, campag post were a bonus. The cranks and paint job are horrendous, but the frame is solid and will do up a treat, might use it as a winter ride and slowly get some parts together for the spring along with a new paintjob....Tinker time, Ace!!
