I'm in need for a front brake for the Argos lo-pro frame - i think it would have to be a short drop type. It has to be silver and preferably new-ish or NOS (can be used, but not battered).
Any kind really as long as it fits and stops the wheel from spinning :-)Any suggestions?

I've tried to answer before, but got some connection error and now can't bother to write again :-/
The tell tale sign of a dodgy ad are usually generic stock image and a lame description. Even worse, when the seller on the phone is confused about the specs (Bike is well nice, blood - I had this last week). I'd give up if I have to mee up with some yoofs in the car park of an estate to make the deal. -

Sorry for stealing the thread, but I don't see the point of starting a new one.
You're talking about the road tubulars... Can I also ask for an advice here?
I'm finishing the build of Fuji Track Pro running on Miche Pistard WR Track with Continental Sprinter Racing tyres. Well, the wheels I got were for tubs only, so I didn't have much choice. And tyres? Well, they're the cheapest, as I didn't want to spend twice as much just to find out, that they're pro spec on the track, but even more suicidal choice for the road.
At first I wanted to use this bike in Herne Hill only (as I'm putting together another one for daily use), but what I'm hearing now confuses me. I can't afford another set of wheels with clinchers, so what are my options? Are there any other tubular tyres more suitable for general use? Any advice where can I get them from. I've googled a bit, but jumping between shops and various (often completely different) review ain't easy job... -

I've got home content insurance with Endsleigh and found it quite reasonable and cheaper than my bank (Halifax). There's an extra option to include few expensive items giving their value and I chucked in my two cameras and lenses (without providing any receipts). I'm sure I can add my bike to the quote too without changing the premium. I'm going to check later the detail and come back with the news. For my camera is a better option than previous specialist product I had and works also when I take the gear on the job or leave it the car.

^ Nice wheels, I have them too (so does 50/14). Good value and work great with Miche chanset/BB...
I like them too. Much handsomer and lighter than I expected with nice Miche Pista hubs - well worth the price. I think I will leave them and erase them damn Aerospokes from my mind. I'm in two minds if about fitting the front brake, as it would ruin them. Maybe cork pads?
I'm going to fit Shimano Nexus cranks for now (wow, it's going to be loads of cardio - 38/14!), because they're cheap and perhaps later on stick on bigger Miche chainset, but have to do some paid work first.
Saddle is Sella Italia SLR - hope my arse will not hurt much. Stem is a budget Ritchey WCS and some cheapo aero Alu handlebars with carbon wrap and Deda tape. Tyres are Continental Sprinter Racing, as it's not a commuter. Will do for now.
I'll post something when's finished

Also, I am thinking of going for 1 1/8" threadless.....is this really really wrong?
I do like the look of traditional meets modern. I might just go with it, and if it all looks wrong change the stem for silver, along with the cranks.
Just go what you like/can afford for now and perhaps somewhere in the future you could upgrage and go for NOS vintage parts in silver (stem, seatpost, hubs, cranks, bars etc)?
As for the threadles... I know they're adapters to fit the ahead kind of stem instead of the quill type, but I don't know if it works the other way round. Can you rethink?

2xfact if it's straight edge.
he probably needs a fare home, that's why it's urgent.
