Up for grabs is my 1990s Cougar frame and fork in Reynolds 531 tubing. In the sale I will also include the seat post (which is not stuck!), the bottom bracket (the BB threads are in very good condition) and the Shimano 105 headset, which admittedly needs a service.
Cougars were high quality road bike frames built by Terry Dolan in the 1980s and 1990s. The brand’s most famous rider was Chris Boardman, whose bikes were rebadged when he rode on the continent.
The frame is true and in good overall condition. It is showing some slight signs of age, with a few scratches and a little bit of rust where the cables rubbed against the frame. There is a very slight ding on the top tube, which isn’t really visible. I removed the Cougar sticker on the other side of the down tube, as it was peeling off, but replacement ones can be easily sourced online if you are bothered about this.
Both the seat tube and the top tube measure 56.5cm c-t-c. The rear dropout spacing measures 130mm and the fork spacing is 100mm – both the modern standard. The frame takes modern-style recessed-mount road brake callipers. The dropouts are the forged horizontal style, which would be suitable for a fixed/SS set-up if desired.
The frame is registered with the police and I will happily transfer the registration onto the new owner.

On a side note, I'd like to add that the frame generated a lot of interest from the kind journalist who wrote up this story on my flatmate's ridiculous stolen bike which reappeared a few countries down the road. The story even made the BBC 6 o'clock London News.

Here you go. I tried to capture most of the scrapes. They're mainly from cable rub and the chain hitting the chainstay (second photo). Otherwise, everything is in good order.

Look good for Santa this Christmas in these original All Star Chucks!
They have been worn just once as they immediately proved too small for me. They're in excellent condition, bar for a small scrape (pictured below) on the inside sole of the right shoe. Being the nice person I am, I decided to put them through the wash before selling them, and they must have scraped against something in the washing machine. Anyhow, it's hardly visible ... and aren't they meant look better bashed up anyway?!
