I think the same about fisheyes, but it doesn't stop me from wanting one. Lulz
Thanks a bunch for the link! I had a think and I don't really have any uses for anything majorly wide tbh. A 30 or 35 will do me well for street photography (as I can't afford a 24mm) and the large apertures are great too.
I love this thread. Thanks for the helpful input eveybody.

As ed mentioned, the 1.2 seems like to be a one trick pony... Especially with cameras being decent at higher iso.. As you also mentioned. :)
@spenceey The 35mm f2 looks pretty good and at about £210 on amazon it's a steal. It would be closer to a 50mm on my crop sensor too. Hooray

Thanks ed. 1.2 sounds great on paper, but seems a bit overkill imo.
Phil (and anybody else who knows), is it true 50mm has about the same field of view as your eyes? I wish I could use my 50mm as my main lens... But it's too tele on a crop sensor. A fast(ish) wide lens is next on my to buy list. The 1.8 is brilliant for the price though. Not bad at at macro either considering it's not built for it.

Today heading east through the Mile End junction thingy, I went in wayy too hot and the lights changed. Didn't fancy running the red and pulled an emergency stop. Ended up a few metres over the line feeling all flustered and embarassed. Just when I thought it was all over, I realised I was inadvertently trackstanding and so had a massive clipless moment, almost hitting the deck. I apologise to anybody (mainly the guy on the white ss/fixed gear behind me) who saw me fuck up.
On the plus side, I met a guy outside city hall who told me about how he built up a very nice road conversion and also shared his frame stipping methods.

@harold you pretty much have the set up I'm after! Very jealous... What kinda photography do you do most?
Couldn't agree more with skunkworks. I'm hoping to get one after a 30 or 35mm. It's super cheap at 200 squids and nicely rectangular on a crop sensor. Dang, I could have all the lenses on my list if I hadn't built my last bike. :(
