May be useful for some people: If you message The Hermit's Hut and ask nicely, they might mark a low value on packages to the UK. They also offer free "overfill" with their WM bags. Works out much cheaper than buying here or from Europe. Also the UK seller, Ultralight Outdoor Gear, doesn't carry many of their products. I think the Sycamore MF looks like the best all-around WM bag. -4C / -7C (with overfill) rating, slightly tougher fabric, nice and wide + semi-rec shape, and zips open completely for when it's warmer / using as a blanket / with two people.

Mont from Australia also have some nice looking own-brand bags and other stuff (shirts, trousers, hats etc):

"Brindabella" models look great. I like the amount of detail they include too, with all the specs.

Has anyone tried the On-One Rujo? Can only see a couple of YouTube reviews and not many other opinions of it. Seems like a good deal, especially during their sales. Was thinking about a modern steel bike, with a standard threaded BB, and wouldn't want to spend lots. Not for "gravel" riding specifically - just something tough for a bit of everything. Seems a bit more exciting than the Genesis and Surly offerings, and way cheaper than the custom / boutique brands. I used to have a Pompino and liked it very much.

Also if anyone wants a general use hiking / trail running shoe, I just got some of these after looking for ages for something that will fit my large + wide feet:
https://www.inov-8.com/trailfly-g-270-v2-mens-trail-running-shoe
Haven't worn them outside yet, but they fit great in size 13, and I wear 4E width in Asics, so they are wide enough too.
Seem to have universally excellent reviews, and possibly better quality construction than other popular options like Altra, Topo, Hoka etc.
Can be found for much less than RRP online.
The older version is called the TerraUltra G 270. Check YouTube or Google for the list of differences (it's very similar though):

Bit of an odd request:
I was looking at the Mountain Laurel Designs Prophet and Exodus packs. At 6ft3, I am right on the line between their recommended Large and XL back lengths.
As they sell them directly and there aren't any UK dealers, I was wondering if anyone here might have either pack: The Prophet in Large, or the Exodus in Large or XL, that I could try for size one day? Returning one to the US that doesn't fit well would be a big hassle, with import taxes and shipping costs etc.
Also happy to hear any feedback from people about the same height, if you have used either bag, and which back length you chose.
Thank you <3

SOLD - Ortovox merino wool base layers, long sleeved and T-shirts - XL size - Tried on / washed once
All now sold. Thank you.
So I have some base layers for sale as need to raise some funds. These are all "nearly new" having been tried on and then washed once, with Nikwax wool wash, on a gentle wool cycle. All are a men's XL, and the two long-sleeved ones have some stretchiness and are designed to be form fitting, with the T-shirts a bit looser (but still athletic / slim fit) and could be used as base layers or casually. But as usual it depends on what sort of fit you like. I'd be keeping them but need a bit of money right now, and will buy them again later on, because these are miles nicer than nearly everything else I have tried.
I've owned merino base layers from a handful of different brands, including Rapha, Smartwool, Helly Hansen, Ortovox, and a few garbage ones I cannot recall. I used to work in an outdoor sports shop where we sold Icebreaker, but I didn't like their products at all. I'd say these, along with the Helly Hansen ones, are the best. Very different products (hard to explain, but they have a different structure / patterning, and obviously different materials / composition), but both superb quality.
Ortovox sort of specialise in wool products, and I think were originally a skiing safety brand, but products like these can be used for loads of things. They'd be great for anything from chilly cycle commutes / rides, cold weather running, walking, hiking, camping, or just general cooler / cold weather use. Perfect for layering as the moisture will just go straight through them, and obviously they regulate temperature and won't smell like synthetics or cheaper / bad quality merino products. Great for multi-day trips. Anyway, details:
120 COMP LIGHT LONG SLEEVE - XL - Black Raven
This is their classic and best-reviewed base layer. On the thinner / lighter end of their range (120 is thinner, while 185 is thicker, for example), so perfect for layering, and more versatile when it comes to the range of temps it would be great for. Cheapest I can find online including postage is about £72. RRP 100 Euros.

120 COMP LIGHT LONG SLEEVE - XL - Just Blue
Exactly the same as above, but in a beautiful discontinued blue colour. RRP 100 Euros.

120 TEC MOUNTAIN T-SHIRT - XL - Blue Lake
Still functions as a base layer, but maybe designed to be slightly less form-fitting than the long-sleeved ones above, and could be worn casually or technically. Seems to be discontinued. 80 Euros RRP.

140 COOL VINTAGE BADGE TS (T-shirt) - XL - Dark Pacific (Dark Green)
As with the other T-shirt, this still functions as a base layer, and could be worn casually or technically. Not sure why it has a bad review on the Ortovox website, but check Alpinetrek where it has loads of great reviews (all of these do). Cheapest I can see online is about £60 posted. 80 Euros RRP.

"Turning off and on ‘to clear RAM’ is not only unnecessary, but completely negates the sophisticated OS-level caching mechanisms that are designed to use and manage all available RAM to speed up app launching, document opening etc, resulting in a slower experience until the cache is re-populated. Free RAM is wasted RAM."
Mmmm I have the same laptop as the person asking the question, an early 2015 MBP, and I can tell you right now, running with Swap once the RAM fills up makes the fans go crazy and things will slow down. Turning the laptop off and on solves this. So not sure if you are speaking from experience or not.
"M2 over M1 is a no-brainer."
Disagree, especially as many people will just buy the cheapest / base spec, where the M2 can be significantly slower. Have you seen what happens to the M2 base models once you try even light multitasking? Performance tanks. M1 is cheaper, and already more than fast enough for 99% of users. Personally I think M1 Pro refurbished is currently the best option.
Alright then, "Do not use Chrome, and try Edge or Safari" - How's that? ;) Most people use Chrome and it's a RAM hog. Might be easier to migrate to Edge too, but can't say for sure.
I have the same laptop as the person who asked the question, and I am telling them what works for me, so I'd say that "mostly nonsense" comment is untrue. If you have better suggestions, outside of dropping £1.5-2k on an M2 machine with a few basic RAM and storage upgrades, then please feel free to contribute.

Make sure the SSD isn't more than about 80-90% full. If it is, unload some files on to an external hard drive.
Make sure to turn the Mac off and on every day. Otherwise the RAM will fill up, and you'll have lots of SWAP being used too. Turning it off and on again resets this and clears the SWAP.
Use Edge browser. Do not use Chrome. Uses less RAM. Set the idle tabs to "sleep" in the Edge settings. The privacy settings on Edge are much better too.
Do not buy M2 with 256GB SSD and 8GB RAM. Will be slower than M1. Get at least 512GB and 16GB, and M1 instead of M2.

Check the Amazon reviews and compare to the reviews of all modern Intuos and Cintinq models. This was the best. It also has a larger drawing area than similarly priced newer Intuos models:https://www.amazon.com/Wacom-Intuos3-12-Inch-Tablet-Metallic-/dp/B0003009AI

Selling only as this is surplus to requirements. No offers please as £150 is what I paid for it, including shipping, so simply want to reimburse myself and not lose too much. I will already lose money on shipping costs, which will be a lot due to the size and weight. It is definitely worth that, and you won't ever see another brand new one for sale. Photo below is from the seller I bought it from who sold a few of these, all NOS. This is their photo, mine is exactly the same:

(Same model and size as the one for sale here)
(She is using a smaller version of the same model)Message me if you'd it please. Thanks.
Had these sent to a friend in Germany, who brought them to England for me, as the Barcelona and Sweden team shops don't send to the UK. Ordered four months ago. Nice to finally have them. Both men's XL.
Nike online shop doesn't offer the same customisation options you can get directly from the Barcelona shop (Women's Champions League arm badge etc). The font looks different in the images on the Nike website when you add the custom name and number too - not sure why. So that is why I ordered direct instead. The Sweden goalkeeper one you can't get in the UK at all.
For anyone interested: Barcelona one is the "Stadium" and not the "Match / Player's Edition" shirt, because I wanted something more durable / comfortable, and with the embroidered club logo instead of the heat-applied one.
Maybe Katie McCabe next. Or Vicki Becho, because I think she's underrated (can't find any good clips online, but she was great during the World Cup).
