You're fecked.
I imagine you got the same memo me and Tiswas got. Time to by a Softride tri bike and hit the swimming baths.Ah maybe that explains why I'm so slow this time out. I'm trying to get back into running for the first time in a very long time. I'm finding it hard to get below 10 min miles, though I do have more than ten years on you youngsters.

A view on belts
http://jasonferruggia.com/minimalism-part-6-support-gear/
Unless you plan on competing in powerlifting, Olympic lifting or strongman there is no reason to ever wear a belt. Even the smartest high level competitive lifters train without one for a good portion of the year.

It's always worth complaining to the company. When I worked for Brake Brothers (now Brakes), the frozen food delivery people, they had a policy of two complaints from the public about driving = instant dismissal. Now I'm sure that in today's HR culture this will have been toned down, but still I agree, companies do not want potential customers who do a Google search to have that sort of video pop up near the top of the search results.

Honestly are people stupid? Or is there an incredibly compelling reason this beater
is going for 200 sheets? He hasnt even specified a brand of any of the components, bar the fact it was a raleigh frame. Yet he neglects to mention any tubing specs either. Might throw a few of my beaters on there.
So all the parts are new but he's ridden it for four years without changing anything other than tyres or pads?

As a short heavy guy, I was skeptical of shoes like the FiveFingers. I bought a pair for walking around in, and loved them. Could'nt run far in them, but I could feel what all the fuss was about. Using them on tarmac seemed like suicide to me though. So when looking for my next pair, I looked for a combination of forefoot strike specific and cushioning. I read up on Newtons as they seemed to be the perfect solution, as they aparrantly have a resonable amount of cushioning. Reading through the forums throw up a lot of negative reviews though. People did'nt seem to get on with the bulky sole.
The ones that toped my list were the Vivo Barefoots. But I dont really run on the road enough these days to justify buying them. Maybe I'll pick up one of the casual looking pairs for summer, and do a few runs on them.
I tried on the Vivo before I bought the FiveFingers, but you might want to look at the Merrells too since they do have a degree of cushioning around the sole and the price I think is about the same as the Vivo.

Having bought a new road bike and needing funds to build my Gazelle cross fixie, I'm selling this. I've owned it for about fifteen years, most of which it has been fixed. I used to use it for commuting but for the last ten years it has sat in my shed and languished with just the occasional outing. And really it is way too big for me, as you'll see from the seat height.
It has a 531 frame and forks by George Stratton (frame builder for Claud Butler) which has nice but not overly fancy lugs. It originally had a Shimano 600 groupset with 700c wheels. Now it's a bit tatty, a bit rusty and in need of a damned good service.
Spec:
61cm 531 frame and forks. Top tube 59cm
Shimano 600 front hub laced to Mavic MA40 rim with Bontranger hardcase tyre (fairly unused)
Mallard 86 rear hub laced to Rigida Superchrome (rusty) steel rim and Schwalde Blizzard tyre, again fairly new. I can't get more than about 50lb in this new tyre because it just slips out of the rim.
Has a spin on rear sprocket in an adapter that seems to work OK.
Front brake is Shimano 105 with 105 lever
Shimano 600 headstock (needs tightening and I don't have the tool, or just locktiting)
Shimano cranks (I think, but it doesn't say 600), drop forged 170 with nameless pedals and clips
Brookes B17 saddle
Syntace bars
I live in Woking, but I work in Richmond, so collection is possible from either of those.
£75

People need to get over the breakfast thing. The guy who told Crimonape's boss that is an idiot.

It's not an obligation, just another non-taxable benefit. If your employer does offer it, then you can have up to six a year

I think that is a pretty good effort there by Murts. I suspect the next strap will be even better.
