Saw a guy getting one out just after London Bridge and he nearly hit me as he wasn't looking when he was riding into the middle of the road. He basically tried to ride off, was too wobbly and veered into the middle of the road but didn't look back if anyone was coming.
I expect a lot more idiotic behaviour on bikes because people don't know how to ride one in London.

Hello
I recently purchased this handset from a friend. As it is locked on Virgin, it is of no use to me and I would like to sell it again for the same price of £60 inc RMSD.
The phone is brand new, comes with all the accessories, original box, manuals, headphones, charger, etc...
The phone still has the display protective film on and has only been turned on to put my SIM in.
Collection in London is also possible.
Any questions, just ask. Advertised on another forum too.

I've suggested this before but I think it got under... As the classifieds section is very busy and always growing, it is hard for the sellers and buyers to keep track of what's happening.
My suggestion is based on another forum I'm active, which sells photography equipment. Most of that stuff is much more expensive than the average sale on here, and it has a successful track record.
The system is as follows:
1) Seller puts the ad in a thread, including a price
2) All communication, "bidding" etc. is done on the thread
3) PM will only be used once seller and bidder have agreed on price to exchange payment/address.
4) Seller states when item was collected/handed over/posted
5) Buyer states that item is paid for/item received. This way, the whole process is much more transparent. People will be able to see who bought what from who at what price and everybody knows who the successful buyer is (in case someone goes awol).
I think the dibs system is useless and it's very annoying if many people dibs in the thread, some PM, some only PM, some email... Argh. Hard to keep track who was first, especially on very sought after items.
Hope that make sense!

Why should I relax over your pointless attempts to bitch about the price of a service that a friend of mine provides?
If you can't afford it or don't want to have a fitting done that's fine. But, please show some restraint when posting on a thread about his business. How would you feel if Scherrit (Or anyone else for that matter) started a thread about your line of work and attempted to defame you personally?
Seriously you are going to have to calm down. Please re-read my postings entirely, think and then write. I have said multiple times that I find that service too expensive and even hinted that I might well try it out for cleat adjustment and perhaps take it from there. You make much more "damage" by squaring up in this childish manner trying to defend your friend as I am sure BW don't want to be associated with such behaviour. I am absolutely certain that they run their business in a professional manner and wouldn't tolerate such behaviour.
This forum is about opinions and experiences. I have received both from many users within this thread, which were very helpful and resourceful. Your personal attack and insults however are absolutely laughable.
I don't really care if anyone thinks my work is overpriced but I'm happy to meet up and convince them otherwise over a coffee and show examples of work.
Simply grow up mate and chill out.

not trying to have a go at you here C:V, just trying to provide a bit of context
Scherrit spent 1.5 hours on my shoe/pedal interface so that works out about £30 an hour - my physio charges £45 for a 40 minute session - I've had more tangible relief from a single consultation with Scherrit than I have had with multiple sessions with a physio
economics made simples!
I understand what you are saying although I struggle with your comparison. A physiotherapist will normally have 3-4 years NHS training and an honours degree in that field. So I don't mind paying for a qualified expert where his training reflects the price of the session.
Mind you, as I have not been a client of the Bike Whisperer yet, I am not to say they aren't qualified, good, or thorough. That's not my issue and I don't want to make them sound bad. All I'm saying is that I personally don't feel they are worth that amount of money (and that's not directed at them personally, but at the whole concept).
If I buy a bike at the LBS, I expect that level of service - and did get it at my LBS. It's part and parcel of a LBS when you buy a bike. That level of service is pretty much standard in Switzerland but I can't find many examples of that level here in Britain. So perhaps these fitting services recognised that fact and trying to fill the gap, which is good for them and people who want to pay for it after they've bought a bike.
Hey hippy, go fuck yourself ;-)

Really? I guess that's why they are so well booked for fittings and why so many people on here are raving about the results. £45 is too much for a pint though, I agree.
No need to be patronising. If I think that service isn't worth that amount of money, then that's my opinion. I'm happy for you if you think it is worth it. I generally think it's too expensive and can't follow where they pull those figures together. As I understand they work from home? Correct me if I'm wrong but that means already a very limited amount of overheads.

Cheers guys!
