^ ha! probably
I asked here because I post here more often and try to be involved in LFGSS. TT forum isn't always the friendliest of places if your not an expert. I suppose they are experts, which is exactly why i should be asking them.
Turns out there was loads of info here: http://www.timetriallingforum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=25644

I'm looking for some advise on event promoting...
We (Islington CC) are looking to put on our first TTs. The hope is to run some 'come and try it' club TTs this year and then an open event in 2015.
I've been in touch with the local district sec who seems to think this is feasible, but now i need a bit of help. I've got tonnes of CTT documents to read but I wondered if anyone on here could help me figure it all out. Right now I'm thinking about what order everything needs to be organised in, what course to use and when to hold the events.
Probably looking at a small number of 10 mile events run at weekends this summer.

Get a longer bolt with a nut on the end and just go straight through, ignoring in-built thread?
Thanks. That's actually my current solution but in order to get it tight enough to grip the post I keep stripping the threads on the bolt. Which is why i was thinking of stripping everything off and starting fresh.

for those who've heat molded bonts before, is 80*C ok? It's supposed to be 70*C but my oven starts at 80*C, I was thinking of just putting them in for less time.
I would have thought putting them in for longer but cooler would be safer than quick and hot. Extra hot seems more risky.
I need to do mine at some point. Just got them last week.

We're in London North, so both F11/10 and F20/10 would suit us except that one is quite far for our riders to come and one is a dual carriageway. Neither are ideal for encouraging new riders to try it out. I know there are lots of courses used by local clubs on minor roads but they don't seem to be listed anywhere. The F20/10 could be good, if the event was early morning.
