OK. I know that no-one's ever heard of this brand, but to have only Colnagos and Gazelles on the London roads would make it so boring... This one's just as good, hand made quality steel, and pretty rare outside the south of Limburg, NL :)
Anyway, to try and raise some interest in this lovely bike (and to be able to get into the house through the narrow bike-filled hallway again):

just a thought - what would happen if all other sports were scrutinised as thoroughly as cycling? having to pee in a bottle every day and always stating your whereabouts?
another one - bicycle racing could well be the most exhausting kind of sport ever invented. maybe it should become a little less exhausting by shortening races? or would they all end up in the same mass sprints because the dopers are always ahead of the inspectors?

"must"? you referring to OREC? ;)
bartape colour should be the same as lettering on frame, ancient cycling gurus told me...

indeed some of them ride incredibly fast considered the distance and lack of sleep (I presume they don't do 'kips'). I just read that the fast lot in the 2007 PBP had an average of about 30kph: 44 hrs 50 mins... wow.
the PBP pdf brochure is here

I'm building up a bike with a nice Campagnolo groupset, but the 1" threaded steerer tube is just too short to fit the headset decently... It used to be fitted with Shimano 600
with the Campag headset, the two rings + spacer together are about 25mm high, ideally I'm looking for 2 to 3 mm extra thread to use
anyone familiar with this problem, or know of a slightly more compact (pref. Campag) headset?
thanks!

^ of course you should! gathering dust & comments from the wife is a much worse fate for a bike
