finished with random champagne 75s with dribs and drabs of red ano. what looks like one of those skeleton-esque tioga saddles that weigh little to nothing, seems out of place on a non-weight weenie build. sloping top tube and that much rake looks a bit naff but that's from a personal viewpoint.
Don't get me wrong, the brazing looks really lovely and it's clearly an effort from Tange to flex their crafting muscles in the public eye but the build seems a bit lazy/ short sighted.

Word etc.
Unfortunately as it'll be my college runabout I won't have the luxury of keeping it inside somewhere away from the plebs and ham-fisted college cyclists, so the prospect of carbon salvery will have to be reserved for a "sunday best" build. Think I'm gonna pucker up and plump for a histo in a few weeks, the alu/carbon setup has served me well thus far.

I've my eye on a used Planet X Stealth Pro to replace my ageing Pre Cursa which is my current daily commuter/ workhorse. Anyone used the Planet X(or any other carbon frameset for this matter) for daily commuting duties? My main concern is the inevitable bumps, scratches and knocks that framesets pick up from being locked to poles/ bars etc. Is the finish on the frame tough enough or will it pick up lots of marks and gouges?
I'm not fussed on an aesthetic level but wouldn't want the carbon to deteriorate in terms of strength. I've thought that a wrap of some material over the toptube or seattube could be a good idea or something similar to give a bit of extra protection when locking. I'm cool with any additional stiffness/ aggressive geometry that the Planet X has to offer over the Pre Cursa, it's just the more delicate frame material that's my only qualm.Perhaps this is a totally silly idea, but any feedback is very much appreciated.
