I’ve measured them as best I can using the rivet and hide measurement guide.

Waist: 40cm/15.75” (80/31.5 when doubled)
Hips: 51cm/20”
Thigh: 26.5cm/10.5”k
Front rise: 23cm/9”
Back rise: 32cm/12.5”
Knee: 20.5cm/8.5”
Leg opening: 19.5cm/7.6”
Inseam: 81cm/32”

Would anybody be interested in these Samurai S711VXs?
Bought them in Japan about five years ago but I’ve barely worn them. I basically only wear black these days so it seems daft just having them sit in a cupboard.
They’re the 17oz S711vx with a nice red/silver selvedge. Waist 30, leg 36 but that was before soaking and hemming so now they’re probably more like 32/34.
These were unsanforized when I bought them so they’ve had one initial soak but no wash.
They sell new for £350 so I think £150 seems a fair asking price but let me know if I’m way off.
Happy to post more pictures if anybody is interested.

@chris0 Stupid question but are you noticing significant difference in grind size on those two settings? I’m using a svart too, just did a test grind at those two settings and I would also expect a significant difference in brew time.

So now that the year is almost at a close, I've got a bit of cash left over to start tinkering with the build to bring the weight down and bring it in line with my ideal spec.

First up are the wheels. I've had a set of light bicyle AR35 rims sitting around waiting for a few months now but I finally went ahead and ordered a set of Newmen hubs and some lighter thru-axles. I've also got some Fizik Cyrano bars on their way to me, which should help to shave off a good few grams.

The next step is almost certainly going to be switching over to hydro brakes, so if anyone has a set of Force/Red levers or brake sets theyre looking to part with then give me a shout!

Im replacing the heavy thru-axles that came with my frame, if the original axle measures 172mm and the replacement measures 171mm am I going to run into any issues?

I think we need to establish a rigorous points based system so that bikes can be evaluated for HHSness on an objectively even level.

Absolutely loving the Sram force, its really smooth. Still not sold on the cable discs though, even with proper compressionless housing they don't feel very powerful. How do the Juins compare to proper hydro brakes?

The wheels will be replaced pretty soon (hopefully), I have a set of Light Bicycle carbon rims, just waiting for a client to pay me so I can pull the trigger on the hubs.

After what felt like forever waiting on small but vital parts to finish the build, Kevin is finally alive!
Paradise cycles did a fantastic job putting everything together and I went out on the maiden voyage on Saturday.
Took me a while to get used to gears and drop bars again but I can safely say this bike rides like a dream!
Currently the weight comes it at just over 9kg with pedals etc but Im confident I can get it down to under 8kg with the new wheels and some more carbon bits once funds allow. Ill put all the details in the next post for my fellow weight weenies
