Mick told me the news this morning, absolutely devastated.
Josh was one of the first people I met when I moved to London, he introduced me to many of you fine folk and for that and many other things I will always be grateful.
He was an absolute legend in so many ways and always a blast to be around, I have so many great memories of him.
R.I.P Josh and thanks for everything, youll be sorely missed. -

I have a stripped and re-covered SLR - weighing in at around 120g
Welcome to a try
Thanks for the offer, I've got a stripped SLR that Im going to try out tonight, looks like it should work with the seatpost though.
Which Syntace stem do people recommend and whats the actual weight like? Theres a few different ones kicking around on ebay but none of them are as light as the ritchey.
I'm quite tempted by the extralite OC road stem, it looks like it would sit niceley with the 44mm head tube and its supposedly under 100g

Really very nice but for some reason I don't think that stem works. Would look better with something a little chunkier and larger drop from the steerer?
I know what you mean about the stem. I went with the ritchey because its light and Im a fan of ritchey stuff in general but its probably one of the first things Ill end up replacing.

^Thanks guys, cant wait to take it out for a spin.
@oswald Most of the german sites that sell it say that it doesn't work with tune saddles but nothing other than that. It certainly doesn't work with my concor though which is a bit worrying. Im planning on getting a saddle from smud so Ill see what he reckons.

I finally have everything I need to get this built up!
Robadob came through with the Rotors the other week so Im pretty much all set.Anyway, I know youre all desperate to see loads of pictures of components on scales (this is a notionally weight weenie build after all) so here you go:

Projected weight for the build is about 6.3kg, a little over my target of under 6kg but my the rotors came in way heavier than listed and my wheels were a bit heavier than Id guesstimated.
Still need a proper chainring (will put on a silver gebhart one for now) and a properly weight weenie saddle but Im looking to get it properly built up next weekend now. -

One of my favourite Josh moments. He ran out of room in his bag so he decided to ducktape the remaining beer cans to his bike.
