What is it that makes you feel uncomfortable when youre riding it?
Does the bike feel too big when you stand over it? Do you feel too stretched out? Maybe the saddle is set too high and your saddle to bar drop is too big?
Start by trying to get to the bottom of that question and that might help you understand what you need to change. -

Seems that C-change is good enough for the pro teams https://blog.katusha-sports.com/homepage/you-asked-us but again I have no first hand experience of it.

Are you looking for something packable that would fit in a jersey pocket? If not, PasNormal do a schoeller c-change jacket thats cut a little less "race fit". I can't comment on the waterproof qualities of schoeller vs goretex but it might fit the bill.

Have a look at Mt Zoom, I just bought a 90mm one and it weighs about 80g, absolute steal at £35! Might not be the most aesthetically pleasing stem out there but its not hideous either

I'm certainly not going to sacrifice practicality/durability in the name of weight, just trying to keep the weight down as much as possible while being sensible. No super exotic, excruciatingly pricey weight weenie parts that are purely for showroom bikes just carefully chosen light weight parts that are still up to the abuses of riding.
Most of the weight saving is going to be down to the wheels, I've got a set of 24h lightBicyle carbon rims that I plan on having built with some light weight Newmen hubs. Carbon bars, seatpost and saddle will all help to keep the weight down too.Current build is looking like it will come in around 8kg and in the long run I reckon I can get it down much closer to 7kg with a few upgrades. There isn't really any reason for this, I just enjoy trying to build up my bikes as light as possible. I'm not going to lose sleep If my calculations end up being way off and I cant get it down to under 8kg but Im definitely g0ing to try all the same.

Lately I had been thinking that it might be time to finally accept that gears aren’t the enemy and invest in a do it all steel road bike.
Last weekend I happened to be passing Cloud9 so I thought I’d enquire about test riding a Brother Stroma. I got chatting with Adam and about 30 minutes later The Stroma somehow became a Curve GXR.
I picked the frame up today, and will hopefully have this up and running fairly quickly. The plan so far is:
Sram Red 1X chainset with a 42t chainring
Sram force 11 speed cassette
Sram force shifters/derailleur
Some ritchey drop bars I have lying around
Whatever seatpost I find in my parts bin
Probably a stripped SLR for the saddleI’ll be borrowing the hunt wheels off my Trek for now but I have some Light Bicycle carbon rims that I’ll be building up shortly.
In the long term I want to get this down to around 7kg so I’ll be swapping things out for lighter parts when I can.

Im looking for a do it all steel road frame, primarily for road riding but something that can handle light gravel stuff. Ideally I want to be able to swap wheelsets between this and my Trek Crockett so it would need to be disc and 142 rear spacing. Could possibly persuaded on aluminium if it ticks all the other boxes.
Size wise I'd need a 54/55/M
Anybody got anything they want to sell me?
