Been running restraps for a couple of days - def impressed, though not used JOL/holdfast so can't compare. Better than powergrips.
I use straps for general riding round town and prefer them to my SPDs for brakeless riding as never feel 100% confident my feet won't release if I need to stop super quick - (keep the SPDs for my Bob Jackson which has a front brake). But I've heard ATACs have the edge on SPDs in that department.

To echo sentiments already uttered from rosie owners - this thing is great... Picked it up from scott saturday lunchtime at BLB- then had to come down to winchester in the afternoon for some filming till tomorrow but I brought my bike and have been riding round the country lanes at night with the high beams on and rosie on my back - it's spot on - feels like no weight at all but carries everything you'd need.
well done sir :)
I bought mine in the batches from a couple of months back...got to say been rocking it non-stop, extremely well made and versatile. Fantastic hip bag.

Really liking this Taylor. Not too sure about the black drops and forks but thats a personal choice. Are you putting Taylor decals on? In some ways I think it looks better plain stripped like it is.
Anyway really nice.

it's an american made taylor.. i wish he had a better website!
it's got a beautiful teardrop downtube, cant wait to give it a spin!
it's same height as my old green condor but longer, worried my saddle to bar drop might be uncomfortable but wont know till i try it, plonked on some risers last night and it looks beefy
:)
That looks very nice. Assuming you picked it up second hand rather than having it made?

Hi all.
Update on the Bob Jackson I was doing up (which was in pretty good nick to start with anyway).
http://www.londonfgss.com/post854915-14038.html
Its finished now, more or less, though it does need a new saddle (probably dark brown, maybe Brooks). I'm a little unsure about the fizik grip tape but until I see some grips I really like I am going to stick with it.
The frame is Reynolds 753 track tubing, Dura-Ace hubs laced to Mavic Open 4CD rims which I got off the original bike, Ofmega Super Competition cranks and 48t road chainwheel and a 19t rear sprocket which gives about 68 gi, and nice new Nitto quill stem and flat bar.
I also put some Shimano 600 pedals and original 105 cages on but as nice as they look they don't give me the confidence I need riding fixed on the roads so planning to swtich to SPDs.
Thanks for comments I had earlier on here especially the ones pleading with me not to mess with the colour scheme - I had planned to re spray it but I doubt I could ever get anything that would have the same vibe as this and gradually came round to that point of view.
Sorry for the rubbish phone camera photos.

Dear LFGSS.
I'm after a 5 speed rear wheel (700c) - its for an old Raleigh so it needs to be in workable condition but doesn't need to be perfect - as long as its true and runs ok. The rear spacing on the bike is 120mm.
If anyone has one they would like to get rid of at a sensible price give me a shout.
Thanks.
