I like this bike edscoble, particularly the lugwork. It's nice.[
QUOTE=edscoble;1378000]The wheelset only cost me £135 from Freshtripe, great value for a lightweight wheelset.
check out Velo Orange rims, that's the one I'm using.
Holdsworth's perfect now, it's only the stem that was a bit off.

Its just rattlecan paint, what's that ? Acrylic ? I don't know.
Anyway even after a few coats its really thin but the lug work shows well. I am gonna laquer spray -sand- laquer spray-sand 3 or 4 times.I know rattle can chips quite easy but I don't mind it looking abit weathered. and besides a professional respray was abit much to be honest. Gotta try stuff 'aint
ya ?hey man, is this powder coat or some sort of wet/acrylic paint? I am asking cause i had some frames powder coated and i don't like the way it covers it in a thick layer. although it's defntly more reliable and scratch resistant than acryl...

So this is the track I bought off the forum a couple of months ago.
It had been duluxed by the previous owner.
Got a couple of days off finally so stripping it and going to rattle-can spray it as
the cheapest respray here in Tokyo I have found is about 160 quid.Anyway stripping and sanding is a slooowww process.

@ ed.
"I'll says this.nothing wrong with it, it's only anaesthetically displeasing, but far more functional than a Bianchi Pista Concept with a £1000 'spoke wheel."
worth logging on just to read that, brillliant.
So you prefer a bike that sends you to sleep ? Or its just a typo and you'd prefer a beautiful bike ?
I know it gives me a headache looking at it, it might be different riding it.With a cap on.
The frame is beautiful enough just don't like the form/add-ons. Anyway ED,would your rear be up to it, having a zip about on that ?

Hello all
Sorry no pics still getting the hang of this stuff
Bought the raleigh track off lewin a few weeks ago.The white one that had
been painted with dulux. Its a Worksop Carlton 1975.
It has chrome rear end but not chromed head lugs.
It has been drilled for a rear brake. The 1975 team looks like this

But I am loving the 1973/74 colours on this -

You probab;y know this already but..
The "SB" stamp on the BB shell indicates its a special builds (Ti) from the ilkeston
plant. Numbers were more limited - it might be worth contacting the Ti raleigh yahoo group as there are avid SB collectors on there or Hilary (who's part of the group) to see if he can put some more info your way regarding this bike.
Its nice, if I had some cash I'd take it off you.
Wanna swap for a metallic blue/chrome road merckx frame in good nic ?
