Brilliant, have been doing this since 125 ownership but read some conflicting views online and doubted myself. The rear is pretty good, for a back brake, so not going to mess with it. Fingers crossed I can get it all working and tested this weekend, pistons definitely went in smoother than when just lubed with DOT4.

What's the hivemind on using red rubber grease (sparingly) for brake caliper seals and pistons? I'm rebuilding my SRADs front brakes, again, as they were sticking. I rebuilt them at Christmas, admittedly with a Drambuie, and only used brake fluid as lubrication so keen to use red rubber grease as it's never caused issues in the past. Like anything seems there's a millions conflicting views online.

Yeah they were totally fine, I wasn't in the mood for an argument so obliged. They had a paid event on, which I would have loved to see, but came in through the byway so skipped the ticket barrier. It's very strange around there, feels like a big waste ground but as the grounds are so big several footpaths, bridleways and byways etc go through it.

Glad to see you're getting more comfortable on the Honda(?). Rode up to Santa Pod this morning as there's lots of byways around there, admitadley did get escorted off the premises by security but still great fun. Didn't put up much resistance as was hungry so keen to get back home but would recommend exploring round there. Will study my OS map tonight to see where the byway ends.

At the risk of sounding like a luddite that era of bike feels like a real sweet spot, more power than you need but analogue enough that it's exciting. Also helps that you can lift the tank without needing a laptop and 2 technicians. For the sake of 20hp would you consider a power commander and remap?

@ColinTheBald look at the shoulders on Dave!
Had to try on the local club River Lea stretch yesterday being the last day of the season. Nothing graced the net but saw lots of carp, and got side-tracked trying to land one instead of targeting barbel or chub. Even had a carp on the hook but predictably came off so will return in June. Would have been nice to land my first fish of the year but nonetheless was a pleasure to be on the bank yesterday.
