I've gone down a twin shock rabbit hole the last few days, must have watched every video on YouTube. Even with an amazingly capable offroad bike, I'm drawn to antiques from the early 80s like the Maico 490 and Honda CR480. Still don't have a van so all a pipe dream, but travelling the country with an old scrambler in the back feels like a nice thing to do. As you were.

Obviously owning a spicy car is slightly harder these days, but think I've unashamedly moved into the camp of exclusively wanting an out outdated lux-barge, pref in estate form, to use day-to-day. Always thought this was pretty cool

@retro_bastard @ColinTheBald sorry just seen your replies, thanks so much for the wise words and encouragement. Last night Mrs Jambon and I slept in the same bed since getting the hound, ooo errr etc. We've been operating on a few hours sleep but last night only had to check on him a couple of times. And the dog diarrhea in the living room has stopped, for now.
He's frozen on a couple of walks, but thankfully we had some treats to get him moving. Didn't appreciate how sensitive these dogs are, or maybe just our one. I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel in terms of him getting used to the new surroundings so fingers crossed the progress continues.

Meet Rupert, we picked the ex-racer up today from a kennel in Waltham Cross. He seemed quite excitable in the house but settled down after some food and water. Imagine it's all so new. He even napped on the sofa with me for a few mins which is a good sign. Haven't worked out how we eat ourselves with him, as he doesn't know yet it's not for him and he seemed to whine a little when shut in our utility room for 10mins. Wish us luck tonight!
What I call the 'gixxer Kev'. Would love an early 80s 2 smoke twin shock. Feel free to share any more photos you have!
