Even the proper Park Tool BB wrench is shit. I have a deformed little finger from when it slipped and crushed my finger between tile floor and metal bar (extra leverage on tool). Multiple other injuries. My most hated bike related task.

just make sure your chain line is right too. if its off then the chain will wear very fast and slacken quickly. also if it gets too loose you might de-rail the chain i did this down the euston road at about 25 the other day alot less than fun and my frame looks worse for wear because of it.

Spotted a proper Sikh warrior today on a road bike just cutting accross the foundy.
Lycra clad and impressively bearded, with his hair knot tied up and covered, he cut an awe inspiring figure. Doubt anyone dares to intimidate him when he's cycling. Bet he's carrying the Sikh knife as well. Do they make a carbon fibre version of that?

tbh im not that bothered, im starting to agree with ed, i run less and less reds these days after too many close calls and learning to track stand, i enjoy the sprints between lights. That said an empty ped crossing with good visibility is just an RLJ waiting to happen
