Wow, nice work Venn.
I just went down there too, looks perfect for polo, good tarmac, fence, 4 lights, no poles (racist), recessed goals to keep bags safe, roughly the same size as newington.
If you say it's always unlocked that's good, and hopefully the lights will be working soon.
No residents to disturb, and the school is unlikely to be open in the evenings, so no chance of disturbing anyone.
Also next to it are two new basketball courts without fences, so for one if there are people playing in the fenced court we might be able to ask them to let us use it, and they can use another court. Also it's big enough to have 2 small courts, or 1 big court across it, if we put boards around it, so could be useful for tournaments?

I left my ball at Downham, did someone pick it up? please!
i also left a hard orange ball, i think..
I just cycled passed there, and picked up two balls that were lying around. One red, one orange.
Are they yours?
If you need them tonight I can probably sort it out, otherwise I'll bring along tomorrow.

There are also the newly built courts in Hackney Downs, I've not looked there in the last month or so, but they were almost done then.

Unless anyone has been there in the last few weeks I'll head up there after work today and have a look.

I was in Munich this weekend, and I went down to their Sunday session today.
I love the location of their court, right by the river Isar, the court wasn't bad either, apart from not having boards all the way round.
They were really nice guys, very welcoming, and lent me a mallet and a bike to play with.
They were bemoaning that they don't have so many players, makes me realise how lucky I am to live in London.
If any of you Munich guys are on here, thanks for the friendly welcome, and I'll be back at some point soon.

I was thinking about doing this, once I get my own mallet sorted. Was wondering though, with the talk of pissing off residents, where to go.
e.g. Would it be ok if I swung by downham on my way home for a knock around on a monday or wednesday evening?
Well, let's do this sometime, probably best to use one of the other east courts if we can, Monday's are fine for me (Wednesday is Souths)

I'll be up for a quick drink (or many).
