I know! I can’t wait. I love asparagus. I spent the after with my wife at out plot today. She has been weeding and hella job she does too. I dug a path and then use the soil from the path to pile up a permanent raised bed for said asparagus.
I was on a seed companies website and they advise adding salt to the soil. Apparently they are a marshy plant🤷🏼♂️

This is a new bed we planted in fruit corner. It’s so far 2 x tayberry and 2 x raspberry.
We’re also going to prepare a permanent bed for asparagus. I planted some about a year ago and now we’ve got 2 years to go they need a place to live.
I’m also going to buy some crowns on pay day just to ease the pain of the process.
Also going to plant some artichokes

I made a bit of booboo. I have no idea how I thought salt would help.
I went back and watched the video again. No mention of salt.
We did another couple of hours today. My wife was weeding and I was putting gravel into our new asparagus bed for additional drainage due to heavy clay soil.
No added salt
