Lol we haven't a hope in hell. The only top 4 side we beat with ease regularly are those West London rent boys.
I don't believe we have beaten Arsenal in 5 years and we have never won at the EmiratesAren't Liverpool supporters supposed to have long memories... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/14514681

love it, had to look the guy up: Harry Gruyaert
Coincidentally, maybe, that photo is being displayed in an exhibition that's just started at Somerset House - http://www.somersethouse.org.uk/visual-arts/henri-cartier-bresson-a-question-of-colour

Speaking of butchery classes, has anyone tried these guys ?
I've been thinking about a Ginger Pig one for a while and then found a link to these a couple of weeks ago.

Niki Lauda has said that Hamilton is the world's best driver. I actually think Alonso is better, but it's all the more surprising as Niki Lauda has been strongly critical of Lewis in the past.
He's not always right, but this was probably a smokesecreen: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/motorsport/formulaone/lewishamilton/9566468/Lewis-Hamilton-will-turn-down-Mercedes-offer-and-stay-at-McLaren-believes-Niki-Lauda.html
Niki's probably just toeing the Mercedes line now he's working for them, but I wonder if he will put a different spin on this now: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/motorsport/3633091/Lewis-Hamilton-risks-KILLING-another-driver-warns-Niki-Lauda.html

As far as I know Loake are bog standard UK true-to-size. They are decent too, if you go with their proper benchmade in England line. They do plenty that seem to be made here but are pretty shoddily put together in the far east. I once had a look at some Loake L1 derbies, made in India, and they were ropey as fuck.
I have a pair of Loake 1880 'Chester' brogues that have lasted and aged well. They're currently back at Loake being resoled and tarted-up generally.
That said, the difference in quality between them and my Tricker's is really apparent. The leather on the Loakes is ok but not remotely approaching the Tricker's. Where the Loakes have creased and cracked (despite my utmost care and attention) the Tricker's just get better and better. Maybe it would be better to spend the money if you can and go the whole hog with a top drawer maker?
I'll have to look at Trickers. I've had several pairs of Loakes over the past few years (from 5th Ave Shoes and pediwear.co.uk) and all have been very comfortable and have 'aged' well - even with daily wear. One of their fittings/lasts fits my feet very well!
There was a story about Loakes in the Guardian ages ago where the story of a shoe was described - then, the leather was shipped to India (already cut?) to be treated and tanned and was then shipped back to the UK to be made into the shoe. Don't know if that's changed.

Amazon just dropped the Gaggia Classic to £149.97 lowest price for 3 years
A bit less if you can collect from a high street store near you (I suppose there is some reason that the prices have just gone down?)

Cheers guys. I figured that might be the case. Good to know to avoid jewellers.
@dmczone & @Aroogah You're both right, I just wasn't expecting it to come round so soon...
A 'standard' full service was £250 a couple of years ago when I had my sub done. Any repairs might be more - the bracelet on mine had broken through wear, so that was extra.
I took it directly to the service centre which was then in Bexley, but they've since moved to Kings Hill in Kent.
If you take it to an authorised dealer, they will send it to the service centre - they won't do it themselves.

Not sure if this should be in Epic win!

With regards to McLaren seemingly suffering a lack of power. They have the same engine as the Mercedes but are usually at the opposite end of the speed trap rankings. Most likely because Mercedes rely more on mechanical grip (hence the troubles with making the tyres last) so can sacrifice a bit of aero for speed. But all of the engines are so close (not sure about the Cosworth) that it makes little to no difference in terms of speed and reliability.
It's the whole package that determines the top speed, but I wonder if engine suppliers have to provide the same spec to all their customers? I'd be surprised if McLaren didn't get the same as Mercedes. Mercedes also have their trick rear wing which helps top speed when the DRS is open.
3 of the 4 suppliers have teams all through the field whereas neither of Cosworth's two teams are competitive - although Toro Rosso (Ferrari) and Caterham (Renault) aren't exactly mixing it at the front.

why can't I open the photos I spent hours taking yesterday?
CR2 format from a Canon EOS 60D, I have CS4 Bridge and Photoshop, I've checked for updates, I've cleared the Bridge cache.
I'm not really very familiar with the world of digital photography, it seems unecessarily complicated.
:(Looks like the 60D is supported by Camera Raw 6.2 or later, but CS4 only supports up to 5.7.
You could convert them to DNG

Interesting site.
Turns out that Lawrenson is a closet blue - or at least thinks that Everton are better than their actual results reflect.

He's even further off the mark with QPR though!
