To save myself from other similar inquiries I'm replying this one here on the thread.
**Subject: campag track frame** There is no such thing as a Campag track frame - it's either nicked or you've been sold a pup - you're either an idiot or a crook - I suspect the former..............Campagnolo stickers refer to the dropouts and the track ends. The frame is RIH, can't tell what the tubing is. In a similar way you sometimes see frames with Cinelli stickers, when the lugs and/or bottom bracket are by Cinelli, even though the frame itself is not.
I don't know if this is Austrian or NL RIH. A source in another bike forum has this to say:
RIH Austria are top-notch racing bikes, and I have only seen road models. RIH Holland are strongly built racing frames, built for Kermesse races, and track. Both are quality frames.
Either way, here is another thread on RIH.
@ [sender of the query] - an idiot or a crook... can I phone a friend?

Hey... nice chat though and I got tons of undone bike maintenance done and a free afternoon.
That's the positive side.
On the negative, EFC bothered his ass coming over and I'd reserved the time and space for this. I understand and appreciate that things do come up, but come on.
There. Rant off. Ride on.

- Reginald (not 100% sure I can make it or If I'll have any cash to get parts before hand but im very interested)
How is 6.9 1pm looking for the rest? Are you getting sorted with the parts? Anyone else wanting to put their name down for the class please do so I seem to remember there were couple more people looking to build.
I'll pm the address to those who are coming and my phone number is in the numbers thread if you get lost :)

I didn't mean it in that sense you dirty person! But thanks for the thought :)
I know ;p
A friend of mine is a cycle instructor with one of these organizations that are not getting back to you. He is lovely and said to text him so I've taken the liberty to pm his phone number to you.
Sounds like you're getting sorted but hey, every little helps.

I've added my number in the numbers thread. If you could text for address or pm for directions, I'd like that better than posting them here.
Tools and parts that I have are
Truing stand: 1
Spokes keys: 2
Screwdrivers and a spokes driver.
!No dishing tool!Spokes: Alpine spokes for £10/wheel if anybody needs them. Not all lengths though so would have to check first.
Hubs: Miscellaneous collection of track hubs&some BMX. Campa High and Low, Gipiemme, Ofmega, Shimano. Not mine but can ask for details and price if anyone is interested.

indeed. - actually it looks quite nice
It looks nice indeed and is called interlacing - congratulations. Straight from the textbook as well (Jobst Brandt):
Interlaced spokes permit opposing spokes to take up slack from each other during severe wheel loading and prevent them from completely losing tension. This prevents the nipples from unscrewing. The pressure interlaced spokes exert against each other allows a loaded spoke to return to its original tension with less shock.
I rode an interlaced rear wheel for two or three years on the road and found it was bouncy and comfortable and didn't come out of true at all. After said 2-3 years the spokes started breaking at the first bend/crossing where they sort of hug each other (where you've gone over instead of under). Replaced the spokes without interlacing, because it would've been such a pain trying to feed them through the fully tensioned wheel. All good again. If you haven't undone the pattern, I'd just go with it. In truing and tensioning I found that I needed to treat the interlaced spokes as one, because they seemed to tension together, if that makes sense. Change in one would immediately have an effect on the other.

Well then. I don't mind organizing and hosting. I'm regularly free on Saturday mornings and although I have to leave for work around 1pm I can get someone else to sit in for me.
ehren_fried_chicken has kindly offered to instruct so the date will much depend on him.
Quite a few people have expressed interest. I suggest to do a list with your name and any dates that you cannot make it on a Saturday.
How's that?

The person I'm selling it for reckons that in ebay it would sell for more than £600, but ebay and paypal would be taking their share and there is postage and packaging and the rest. This forum is where the local people are who are into track frames, or so I've understood.
^ Now will you take your catfight someplace else.
With Love.
