Vicky (Stix) and I are both still up for the recce tomorrow.
We are sticking to the plan of setting off at 8am from Clapham Common bandstand.
Vicky and I live north London. If anyone else wants to join us for the ride down to Clapham we'll be meeting at Archway tower for 7am.Maybe I should start a list so we know who expect at Clapham?

what does 'clara's untouched pouch' refer to?
You dropped your tobacco pouch riding back to Hackney after the Halfords race at Canary Wharf, but then magically found it again - untouched - lying in the road on the way home.
Swivel crisp refers to your prawn cracker munching portrait at afore-mentioned race (I think)

Sunday laps of RP (Richmond) followed by watching some Tarck and sitting in the sun.
In.
Good plan. Nicely offsets the guilt of sitting lazily by the track afterwards.
I think JD was practising last night - Mobbs and I (well, me really) could barely keep up on Holloway Road.
BTW, Simon, where are your pics from last night? You did know how to work the camera, didn't you?

I went for a run at lunchtime with a couple of people from my office. We did 6K in a shade over half an hour (I dont know what that means, we got overtaken by a girl at one point so it must be slow).
Running is rubbish. Why do people bother.
Oh - how did Matt do in the marathon? Dont think you'd get me running 26 miles - Well done Matt (if you made it).
Running IS rubbish in the midday heat, and in the centre of town. But give it another go early morning over the heath and it'll be much more enjoyable. Plus varying your exercise is good training, innit.
Having said that, can't believe Matt ran a marathon in this heat. I hope it wasn't 28 degrees in Scotland too.

Never go to sporting events in a pub with Andy. Especially if there is a team playing that he supports. I'm still in counselling to deal with the Spurs, Pompy game...
I learned this several years ago, Noel. I can't be in the same building as him for sporting events now. The rage and sense of injustice radiates for miles.

If any northies fancy it, Stix and I are riding to Brighton tomorrow. Early start - 8am from Clapham. But if weather holds should be a nice ride. It's a recce for the ladies ride in a couple of weeks so we're learning the route.
