galaxy s 2 announced earlier today , im due an upgrade so going fro that definately, still use my galaxy s and its brilliant,SGS2 however will be better than any handset released this year..

Dual core like the others but is sammys own orion i think, which is beter than the other and also has a quad gpu which is the same used in the PSP2... nothing can compete with that... The others are no different to each other...

Samasung may be shit with software updates but there hardware its second to none, also its so simple to flash a custom rom on android, who cares if samsung dont release updates XDA do...

i wonder what hjaving honeycomb 3.0 for tablet only will mean for android mobile devices?

will they make a 3.0 for handsets or will it be a completely separate decvelopment path... 2.3 if im honest is pretty disapoionting, nothing really added and interface is still the same..

i wonder if the interface on the phone will end up looking like the tablet style?

hada dell streak before swapping it out for a galaxy s... excellent handset unbeliveable if u use phone for internet browsing, was fast and responsive... only swapped it because it was locked to o2 and i wanted it on orange which still hasn't been sorted yet..

galaxy s has a early non working port of 2.3 so cant be long until it gets a fully working... part of me thinks that the galaxy s is actually better than the nexus s... what on earth is the non exandable memory about!!

on the google website for phone comparison it says external storage non but compared to galaxy s it says 32 gb card supplied..

i have a feeling it just means that they dont give an sd card, there is no way they would sell a phone like that without expandable memory!!

I was really looking forward to this but i was expecting so much more...

was hoping they would be using the orion chip but it seems that the handset it identical to my galaxy s, so not much point upgrading as ther are no hardware improvements and therefore only a matter of time till its ported to the galaxy s...

i flashed a custom rom to my galaxy s at the weekend a 2.2 docrambone rom... its absolutly fantastic, fast as hell and smooth as anything... very happy with the hanmdset...

The N2 (some Samsung POS) has been delayed.

If the latest rumours of it being a Samsung are true.. you know where google can stick it.

if this is true that thenexus 2 is indeed a galaxy s that is great news for us galaxy s owners as the hardware will be almost identical which means that soon as new nexus2 updates come out it will be easy to rip and post tghem to other galaxy s handsets!!

so fk samsung and their lame update policy if they are forced to release updates as they are announced by google then it means we can all have them!!

anyone know a decent music streaming app for android...

i used airplay on my ishit, but would like something similar... ie a simple server on my home laptop and be able to connact to wifi at work and stream the music off my lappy to my handset at work... ie i cant fit all my music on my phone so want to be able to play it this way...

so foyund a solution to this..

Well done, indexing gears is a job everyone should be able to do.

i wouldnt say i am able to do it, it took me a while of trial and error and general play with cables and screws to get it working...

and as mentioned still not perfect a bit of rub in certain gears...

would love for it to be like some of the roadies that go round the park in 100% silence with only tarmac noise....

all in all a good experience i would say...

ended up witht he folowing build..

Cannondale caad 3 frame and slice carbon fork
mavic front and rear wheels Ma2/3 i think
centaur 10 speed cassette/crank set centaur chain
veloce rear and front mechs
campag xenon levers 10 speed

Things i need still:

new seat post and saddle (current one has a suspension bit built in!!)
shorter stem, bike is a little too big for me on reach
replacement brake hoods, the ones on the xenons aere rubbish and dont give much grip...
bottle cage

feels good to have it completed, i really enjoyed sourcing the parts etc, hopefully it will last a year then i am planning on replacing the frame with something a little nicer...

yeah will do, think its good to do a fresh run anyway with out restoring apps etc, think i will literally back up her contacts, and photos etc then wipe the lot, geta clean run at it... she has mentioned that her phone intermitantly switches off etc which is normally caused by a bad install somewhere...

this all gets done by htc sync no?

so i flashed my phone at the weeke nd with 2.2, sick of waiting on samsung.. its prettyy nice nothing looks any diff but it feel a little smoother and the internetz plays flash which is nice i guess but a bit useless as the uk has such shiddy network coverage...

also the girlfriends oragne uk desire asked her to update top froyo too but she bottled it and said she will do it when i am there to help.. not sure how i can help press yes though...

i wobnder if the official galaxy s froyo will be any diff to the one i have on now?

got the bike built up on sunday adjusted the gears and got everythign working, only a couple of gears are a little noisy but will tweak then slightly ...
took it out for a couple of circuits of regents park feels nice but a little wierd using gears after a few years of only being fixed.. i keep trying to slow using my legs and getting jerked off the bike!!

all in all quite happy, until this morning when i put on my cycling gear got everythign ready to go to work and iv got a puncture in the rear!! gutted.

didnt have time to change it so im on the old bike again..
