MTB cups are narrower, so using them in a 68mm shell usually means needing to use some BB spacers. Apparently the bearings are slightly better sealed too

Trailforks is much better for this. There's nothing really bonkers around Hurtwood, and anything that's become unrideable will become very unrideable before you get to anything dangerous.
Camera sensors struggle with very extreme ends of the colour spectrum if it's also very bright.
The hi-vis vest is rendering perfectly, so draw your own conclusions from that
Have you tried fitting it with some carbon assembly/gripper paste? If that doesn't solve it, you could probably "repair" it by clear coating it with some spray lacquer. It's likely that's all that's damaged, not the carbon itself
Never understood why Shimano don't sell replacement pistons and seals for their brakes; they do replacement parts for almost every other thing they make
