Fluted seams as a better description and I googled a bit yesterday night but I’m none the wiser, unfortunately.

Saw this from Fitz Cyclez and thought of you, looks like something you’d build up/ride.

What does the mind hive of frame builders think about this tubing? It’s rifled/splined, with a round profile and seams to be relatively lightweight.

Thanks, will do. Despite the Gazelle decals the seller believed that it’s a Diamant actually. I haven’t got the faintest clue but I believe that it’s something special/unusual. Splined top and down tube, curved down tube, Cinelli bottom bracket and some nice details including the stay bridge and cable guides.

Can anyone identify this tubing?

It has a round profile and it seams that the wall thickness alternates length-wise. I mean it’s as if the tube is made up of parallel strips of metal with different thickness. I know the description sucks but I can’t think of a better way to describe it right now.

Mods for days. Front shock is a shortened Cannondale headshock from 26” to 20”, steerer chopped off and extended and then the dude fabricated a custom wire cable steering which apparently handles high speeds better when fully loaded. Not to mention the rear end which is bonkers.

So nice dude, literally all the incarnations of this bike are spot on.

Maybe why the crankset swap?

It is a random mixup of parts but then again the coke can head tube doesn't do you any favors when you gotta chose a stem for a frame like that. It's also a size 50 frame or something which makes proportions aesthetically displeasing imo.
I'd build it up differently and to each their own but it's not like that bad.

I actually thought about your bike when I found the pic, I love how you build it up in the 3rd picture and the Turbine cranks compliment the frame nicely. I haven't got a clue about the fork tbh, someone in the Cannondale thread, maybe @Howard might know.
