I was just playing <3. I had the same thought regarding flange size/stiffness and ordered a set of Macks with low flange front and high in the rear. Still going strong after 8 years, they’re quality hubs but it seams to be hit and miss sometimes as I guess you’ve read online. I doubt I would have noticed a difference in stiffness having chosen a matching set of lows tbh.

Regarding your BMX, that makes two of us. I still regret not buying it when you posted it for sale.

Yeah ok it might be ugly as sin but whatever...it's just a bike. It's not mine so why should I care? It belongs to someone that build it up as they wanted and hopefully brings a smile to their face. Both anti-porn and porn are the worst extremities of the bike realm and are similar in many ways. Far better and much more fun to break all those rules and do your own thing.

Exactly and threads evolve over time as do what people consider being cool and functional. One day it's 1x drivetrains and front racks are sick and the next you see people praising triples and panniers. It's all good.
