Hmmm, SJS cycles...as in St John Street Cycles? As in Bridgwater? Haha, I'm from Westonzoyland, bizarre! I'm pretty sure my dad bought me an MTB from SJS in 1997, and himself a nice Trek MTB. Anybody there remember me? Or any of my family (there's not a lot of ethnic variation down that way, so you'd remember us no doubt). Good times!

Sup peoples. Has anyone who has been taking pics at Trix got any snaps of me doing any actual tricks? I know Johnny has a few, but I think he only does stationary pics of riders and their rides. I'd be very grateful if anyone has any to email me - and obviously any pics will be attributed to the photographer. Will also post this request on the Trixie Dix birthday thread
Cheers! x

Oh yes, I think I've met you before Tash at trixie dix 3 or so months ago, unipack with yellow wheels?
yeah, white one with a yelloe tyre on my rear. That bike has totally gone now...parts sold separately to gumtree heaven. I don't feel too bad seeing as my lack of knowledge was preyed upon at the time. And I learned a lot in the process

one of those times backing the girl up would only suggest you been lookin'..
Tash appeared on the trixie roof top months ago on that damned unipaq and rode that flawed steel hard regardless, so she can ride however she wants.. good to see the new bike coming to the final stages Tash, though the seatpost definitely needs to go up a touch and the saddle needs to come down..
Hehe thanks, and advice noted...maybe I'll shimmy it forward a touch, and indeed, lift the seat some. seems to help the backwards circles attempts though, I did a whole one on the roof yesterday.

Added some bmx pedals (thanks Whiteflower!) and Charge ladle to the set up....now complete!
And I'm really proud of my DIY 'powergrips'. Made out of the leather ankle straps of some pimpin Nike Airs I've had for a few years after buying on a total whim once. I KNEW they'd come in handy! now if all I need to do is perfect those wheelies...

Hello all - slightly wrong thread I realise, but thought I'd ask anyway...
Does anyone know of any Surveying Engineer or possibly Photogrammetry/GIS jobs going at the moment? The Engineering jobmarket in London is seemingly dry at the moment, but with all the work going on in London at the moment there MUST be something around? My partner has been looking for almost a year now, and it's getting us both down that she's still in Nottingham and I'm here in London. Boo.
She has an MEng in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Earth Observation, and currently works on the railway as an Engineering Surveyor so has all of that kind of experience too.
Any takers please PM me, it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

I just got my Charge ladle saddle through, i've only ridden it today but so far so good. It's subtly different from the spoon saddle in that it's a bit shorter and wider, but boy does it make a difference to them lower regions. And it's light as well - I think you can get it from wiggle for around £20, in the black colour you want but with the light blue Charge written small on the side. Nice simple saddle imo. I had to get the colour I wanted (swirl) from ebay in Glasgow! worth it though as that colour's been discontinued.

something like a ibm x40 not that fussed about the spec. 12" or below.
I have an IBM Thinkpad R40, it's about 10 years old and only has 16G memory (I managed 4 years of uni with it though). There's some kind of error with the wireless internet, as for the last year I haven't been able to connect to Orange wireless internet in my house...but it works on OTHER internets, and when the cable is plugged in. I couldn't be bothered getting it fixed, but it still works perfectly otherwise
PM if interested in taking it off my hands for a v. small price :)
Did it, done it, liked it, loved it. Have forwarded on the link to cyclists at work. Nice effort by all involved
