Hi,
We are not closing our fitting studio, just selling off stuff from our years of workshop/maintenance business. As there is soooo much stuff, we are going to this jumble:
https://www.facebook.com/thebigonecyclejumbles/?hc_location=ufiThere is an unbelievable amount of stuff, both new and second hand as well as a free bin- if you buy something first, you get a go at the free bin too! New stuff includes new BB's chains, cassettes, fixed DA cogs, brakesets, a new carbon 1 1/8 fork
Used stuff includes everything really, and we have priced keenly- to sell. If you have a project to complete then this could be a good and cheap way of completing it.There are also good but used wheels and a new 9 speed wheelset.
There is a limited amount of ancient stuff too, TA crankset, and some 70's odds.
As we are out of London now I can't get single items to forumengers, so please come to the sale and..... grab a bargain!

Just found out now- Akis has been a client, friend and fellow rider for a few years now. I am absolutely heart broken. I was very lucky to know him and work with him on his cycling position and on his increasingly large collection of bikes.
He was a lovely gentle guy, generous with his time and attention. I asked him a few months ago if I could use his pictures from my "house of inflexible riders" gallery because his change in position is one of the most amazing I had ever seen- he just loved his riding- really fell for all aspects of it and worked damn hard to become a better rider- losing weight, training like a maniac and racing as much as he could.
I sent him a text yesterday to ask him for a his contact at Mosquito, not knowing. If anyone knows the mechanic there, please let them know, too. I know they will be gutted too.
I will miss Akis so badly, I feel lucky to have known him and to have worked with him. I hope his family can/do see this forum, I'd like them to know how loved he was here in London.

The rocking problem is an interesting one, some rider get it early and often, some not at all. I would suggest that it may be individual degrees of twisting IN the pedal stroke. Using the stainless wear protector plates seems to help (i.e. the wear is in the cleat backing/ baseplate -I don't like the term adaptor), and reducing the free float might help, also keeping them clean and lubed seems to help. No pedal system is perfect but these really work for me as a rider (now an ex-rider to be fair!) and as a fitter they enable me to fix most rider's problems. The Keywin road system is very good indeed, I rode them with a track lock for a few track seasons, and used the mtb pedal for about 10 years (insert customary Scherrit moan about engineering vs marketing led companies here). The speedplay advantage is being somewhat eroded by the fore-aft moveable nuts in some shoes now so I have to put fewer clients onto Zeros mid-fit, but double sided-ness counts for an awful lot, too.

Hey James there will be plenty left over I imagine... probably have to do HH jumble next spring to mop up the rest or stuff I have mis-priced.....
