Yeah, if you've got a tough finish it would probably be good to find a way to let it really soak like that, although it seems aftermarket powder coats come off much easier, as mine came off very cleanly in about a minute. Apparently nitromors is reusable too, but i didn't fancy my chances of getting it back in the tin.

I'm running the same setup with these cranks

Are you worried about taper compatibility or length compatibility. The tapers will be fine, and length will obviously be more of a personal preference/depend on other components too. Although I believe 111m was the most common length supplied with that group.
If you're keen to keep it period correct I have a 111 chorus BB from that group that is in great nick. Drop me a PM if you're interested.
If you're happy to keep a modern BB I'd recommend the tifosi ones. Seem to be better quality and lighter than the cheaper campag BBs and come in lots of lengths. I'm running chorus carbon on one bike and a tifosi on another, and there doesn't seem to be a difference in quality.

Is the old hub a fixed hub i.e. stepped threads for cog and lockring, or a road hub, a road hub will not fit a proper lockring, but you can use a BB lockring, it is not as effective as a proper stepped and reverse threaded setup, but is better than nothing.
And if you're riding on the road you do need a lockring.

I'm really not, I didn't get all cocky before about the freewheel or miche lockring and act like I know everything, I was polite and just said no i won't take it, or no a fixed one please. I'm perfectly aware of how annoying someone acting like they know everything can be. Its not just cheaper online, they are 5.99 in wilsons down the road in peckham, and are even 6.99 in evans.
All I said was "oh, they're usually 5 or six quid in most places" I would have been perfectly happy to just accept that they charge more for that item and not buy it. I don't feel like I provoked or deserved the response I got.
And while they might be really nice to you pistanator they do seem to have given some pretty poor customer experiences aswell as the good ones you have had.

starfish & coffee the miche hubs will be fine for freewheel, the thread for a fixed cog is the same as that for a freewheel, the smaller lockring thread just doesn't get used.
