Saffers are looking the goods, but plenty of time for a semi-final choke.
I like Sri Lanka for the cup. Top-quality batting in** Dilshan**, Sanga and Jayawardene; a genuine wicket-taking quick in Malinga; and the best spin attack going around.
dilshan is nowhere near his 2009 pedigree though. he seems to have got carried away with the hype that he is the new Sanath, and thinks *every *ball is there to be hit, which even SJ never did.
and if the conditions don't favour spin, bowling first, spot of rain, we have no top quality pace to back up Mali. just Kula/Dilhara and Perera/Mathews - nothing to have the good sides worried. spinners can still keep a lid on run rate usually but aren't always gonna get you wickets.

Thanks to Velocio for starting this thread.
I welcome the fact that many on the forum have recognised that we have genuine concerns and am pleased that to read some interesting ideas on the way forward be it night rides or very early morning starts.
As I said in my original message, I am happy to discuss this and meet to do so if that helps. No “trap” – just a desire to make a safe environment for our workers and competitors
I do understand the desire to have the opportunity to cycle on closed roads and in fact am part of a group looking at closing the roads in London for a mass cycle which has initial backing from the Mayor’s office.
Nickcheers for piping up in the thread Nick.
i think someone should take up this offer, with future years in mind too. personally i've never even been on a forum ride yet* so i'm not the best person to represent and say what we can realistically do.
*been in Ldn less than two months, plan on doing plenty

it means that for this week, we might move to the newington court on harper road. combined tuesday beginners with the experienced crowd. it's outdoors and floodlit. there are 2 courts next to each other if we have enough people for two games at once
