This bike has taken hours from my life! It has been stripped and cleaned to within an inch of it's life!!!
In a very fetching white and brown paint job this one really floats my boat and the others that have seen it gave it the thumbs up.
The tubing is Hardlite FM2 with "Superstiff" fork. There are a few minor scratches here and there as you would expect to find on a bike of this age. The worst parts are on the forks (drive side) and the rear triangle (non drive side), however under these chips it is chrome so there is no danger of rust and the option to strip the paint back is also there.
The entire groupset is 6 speed Shimano 600EX including the handlebar stem and the aero seatpost. All the components are in very good condition and polished up very nicely. Points to note are the gumhoods of the brake levers are perished and could do with replacing, there is the normal wear to the lacquer on the crank, I was tempted to clean it all off and have a polished finish but decided against it in the end. Also the rings (44, 52) could do with replacing. Other than that I'd say that everything is spot on.
Other components are 'Wolber Gentleman 81 Super Champion' rims, tyres are 23mm Continental, pedals are some sort of period aero type that I thought looked the part but they're crying out to be replaced with 600EX, saddle is faded leather Super Contour Royal which is the only brown saddle I have, I tried a brown brooks but I didn't think it looked right. Tape is new Fizik and looks the part imo.
All in all a lovely bike that I have got quite attached to, looks and rides lovely.
I would like £250 posted for it. (I was offered £300 for it but due to it not having mudguard clearance the buyer withdrew his offer :( )
Feel free to ask if I have missed something

Having a massive clearout. For the bikes and frames I'll start separate threads so that I can add more detail but for now this is just to show what I have for sale if you tell me what you are interested in I'll prioritise what I sort out first.
All prices include postage and I'm a poor man so will consider reasonable offers if you think I'm out on my prices. I'm located in Kent ME12 you're welcome to collect (about 1 hour by train from Victoria) or postage is no problem of course. Pictures on request or to follow:

http://www.lfgss.com/thread38687.htmlAmmaco Single Speed 58cm x 58cm - £120 - Sold
Just needs a single speed cog. Great condition.
Specialized 32c tyres, Rigida Rims, Exage brake levers, Vetta saddle, Full mudguards, Tiagra crank.
Stickers point to it being an MTB so possibly re-stickered. Paint is very good and it all seemed very factory when in it's original state.
Re-used but good condition bar tape, not as neat as I would like it though.Frames

Excellent frame with curved seat tube but seized seatpost. Was going to ask £170 if the seatpost was free. As it is it fits me pretty much spot on at 5'11". I can take a saddle to pedal measurement if it helps.Cycles Tourmalet Nervex Lugged 23” (58cm) - Sold

Right finally have taken some pictures! Wheels not included and I want that godl bottle cage for another project I'm afraid!

Loads more here http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt55/Telsun/raleigh/Royal
It's an old bike and has various scratches here and there also a small dink in one of the chainstays where it had a kickstand mounted...I'll take a picture of that actually if you're interested. Chrome on the forks is not the best although on the outer sides it's not too bad, I'll take better pictures of that too (I'm slacking I know!)

I have a 25" Raleigh Royale. 531 frame and forks. In good nick, would make a good audax bike imo as it is between racing and full on touring geometry. Has mudguard clearance and eyes but no rack, canti or downtube braze ons. It was fitted with 27" wheels but 700c will be right at home in there with longer drop brakes.
I can supply pics if you're interested.
I'd like £65 for the frame and fork but postage to France is £35+ if I can get it in a small enough box. So it could be yours for £100....

Ok I've been tinkering with this in a view to build it into something rideable to sell on. Thing is if I fit cheap components it's just not right, the frame is better than that but the paintwork is too tatty to justify nice components...
With this in mind I would still like to sell it as a frame and fork package to someone that is going to give it the time and attention it deserves.
So this will hang redundant at the back of the garage until someone makes me an offer on it....
