Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
My friend is in need of a crank set, not too bothered about color, just needs to be square taper, and no longer then 170, preferably with a bolt pattern (5). He is also in need of a rear fixed wheel, 700c. Nothing too wide, and something that is roundish. And lastly, for my self, I am looking for a fork, 700, going onto a lowpro frame so the shorter the steerer the better. It is 1 inch and threaded would be best. Thanks.
I am in north east London, Newington Green area, and I work near London Bridge. Thanks again

Dear Sirs and Madams,
When will this epic journey embark? and If anyone is actually worried about a mass disregard of traffic laws, then perhaps a slight detour, left on Bloomsbury Way, across Southampton Row, right off of Theobald's Rd onto Proctor St, followed by yet another right onto High Holborn, then directly across to the pub? same sorta thinking as "two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts do." There is the problem, however, of this detour taking the group through two painfully stupid intersections... just a thought.

sorry for the late reply, they blocked the forum at work two days ago, and I haven't been at home much, sorry yeah with vert drops out means I need some extra parts, and unfortunately 60 quid is exactly 6 times the amount of money to my name at the moment.. Thanks though, just looked it up looks like a nice frame: http://static.londonfgss.com/attachments/13080d1249066237-barker-653-007.jpg if that's the one. Thanks again, but poorer and looking for some type of horizontal drop out would be cool.

Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I am after a frame. The long and the short of it is I just spent the better part of the last few months trying to get a bike I purchased as a fully converted and working bike into an actual working bike. I just got everything sorted when I noticed a crack developing around the bottom lug on the head tube... I am assuming it came from either the bus, the beemer, the van or the taxi that have either hit me or been hit by me... Either way, I need a new frame, the old one is a mid 80s Raleigh Record Sprint, 501, 60cm, I am 5'10'' I know that it is too big, but it rode well. If anyone has a frame kickin about that needs a home, or anything like that, it would rock. Just as a note, my budget is so small its almost not worth mentioning, so I will save that embarassment for later... But steel would be good, not too concerned with weight, color (American), or anything, I just need a frame, riding is my lively hood and I refuse to take public transportation... it makes me mad just to get stuck behind the freking bus. Thanks. -

yeah, I have, I had to change the crank to that 5 pound one because the stock one actually moved every so slightly on the chainring, the original had no chainring bolts, as it was directly connected to the crank arm. that has sorted it out for the moment, had to replace the axle in the bb too but that was no problem, fairly cheap and easy to get ahold of
-
yeah... I am not sure what she was saying, something along the lines of: bla bla bla you fucking biker fuckers bla bla bla look at this, I am not going to pay for this .. you are going to pay for this... you fucking biker bla bla bla....
I did tell her that she was the one who hit me in a bike lane.. but meh I am sure everyone gets this from time to time.. or every day really, people suck at driving, and at life, not once did she ask the person she just hit (me) with 2 tonne hunk of metal how I was.. bitch
-
I know this is old and no one is looking, but I FIXED IT FOR REAL THIS TIME.... just in case someone else gets this, my crank arm and chain ring are one, flanged or something, but, I had actually worked it loose from going back and forth and running a 52/15 set up and that is what made the creaking noise, as with the handle bars and the seat... apparently running 91 plus gear inch from a dead stop up a hill is bad for those types of cranks... meh, sorted with 5 pound crank arm and 5 pound 50T chain ring.. if anyone has a 51 or 52 with a 110 bcd, I would be much appreciative. AND on a side note, if I am going to keep the 50/15 do I need a half link?

the car did nothing wrong, however, the oxygen burning, waste of space, poor excuse for a homo sapien who cut through the only bike lane for a mile, who also then decided to yell at the person who just flipped over her hood, made a navigational error. imagine the poor car body worker who would have to deal with that, and I was on the ground near the fender already...
-
to add to that, 2000 something BMW 318 1, blue with those stupid rounded head lamp design in the hood, she was this close {} to being the first woman I have ever hit, knocked me off then yelled at me for moving some plastic on the bumper with my bike/body/face, after which i fucking put back together for her... bitch

Sorry for the lack of forewarning, but i was headed there after i got out of work. Umm I just boulder, so my views are kinda bias, but arch=really good for that, but a bit crazy to get into between 6 and 9 pm but every other time its pretty chill and quiet, small, but good. The castle, really tall walls, lots or rope work and lead climbing, but like 11 pounds after 2 pm or some crap, and mile end, good all around, lots of power type moves though, but huge tall bouldering walls, and a cool fo-outdoor bit. and then the boulder in shorditch park, small but the four faces basically have a full rang of routs, and its free, just need shoes.

Tuesday is North drinks night and this week is our 1st birthday, so come up and have some fun and maybe a couple of bevvies. There will be prizes for those idiotic enough to attempt the Death TT and set winning times. Cake will be there and I am hoping there will be cake too.
And I think there should be a few folk coming from further afield than Newington green so no excuses.
Sorry I missed it, no excuses, I was trying to get a bb tool to borrow from evans but they weren't having it, so i had to use vicegrips and did not get out of work until 9. then i accidentally tore off somones fender when they cut into a bike lane and had to deal with that... so next time drop me line and i will be there. baring stupid people in BMWs.
um yes to the forks
and tentative yes to the crank have to run it by my friend, cheers guys, awesome
