its sacrilege to use that for Polo- unless you're a poseur, that's a lovely retro frame, I have no doubt you'll get plenty of toe overlap on the tight forks and the foot ending up in the front wheel, end result splat on the deck many times.
I have a crap Apollo MTB that's suitable for converting to a Polo machine for very little money.
Ha, I´m not an poser.
Do read again please.I finally found a track frame, which allows me to use my old conversion for polo only! ;)

So, I recently purchased a track frame and want to use the conversion I have been riding for the past year as polo bike now.
For that I need a cheap, strong built fixed rear wheel.
27" or 700c?...
Cheap as possible pls.
Also looking for a fork, similiar to the one attached.
Shipping to Vienna would be needed.
Thanks,

Uh, been looking for a track frame.
(5) TRACK FORKS with 190mm long steerer, 30mm of thread - suitable for 27in or 700C, brake drop with 700C wheel 57mm £20
Will this fit the attached RIH? How do I find out? What do I need to measure? Sorry for noobish question...
Would be great, if you could ship to Vienna?

I rode my track bike to and from the velodrome with a clamp on brake and it worked okay. Not sure I'd want to run one permanently though.
Brick Lane Bikes were doing drilled chrome track forks recently, but I'm not sure how much they were/are.
Thanks for your input.
I guess you mean these forks?
http://bricklanebikes.co.uk/2009/12/02/blb-chrome-forks/Don´t want to pay that much for a fork only tbh, that why I´m also looking here. Maybe someone has a secondhand one for sale.
Also I´d prefer one that is slightly "bent" like the undrilled one on the RIH, not a straight one.Thx anyways!
10euros for frame and fork??
Ha! Unfortunately not. Contacted seller and he cancelled auction.
Got it for a nice price, not that nice though ;) -
Hey guys,
so I finally managed to find a track frame that I can ride on the road.
It´s this beautiful RIH:
http://cgi.ebay.at/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220546338859&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:ITThe fork however is not drilled and I dont want to go brakeless.
So, I am either looking for a dia compe clamp on brake (any experience with these? would you recommend them?)
I think I need one for oval forks.OR
a cheap drilled track fork that looks similiar...
Please do let me know prices incl. shipping to Vienna!
Thanks,
No fork or cheap rear wheel?
