I bought my pitch as a compromise bike. I had a charge blender before which was great fun on smoother stuff and the dual slalom at chicksands but was useless getting uphill and on big long rooty and bumpy sections my knees were killing after a days riding.
pitch is 150mm front and back which is comfortable and feels pretty safe if you want to push things. But the geometry is great on it and I can ride up everything in the saddle at coed y brenin. PLus I flew it out for a week in Colorado and Utah and was able to get up big climbs and hit pretty steep downhill routes too.
I miss the responsiveness of a small frame hardtail on short tight techy trails but I can only have one bike at the moment and the pitch wins..
