Yeah, Londons public transport really is one of the best in the world (It doesn't feel like it all the time, but then you go on holiday and realise it's amazing), but unless you have a Brompton, it isn't 'bike friendly'.
Depending on where you're going i'd say stick to one or the other. Bike or TfL.

Yeah this will be pretty hard to make happen because of precisely that.
The only roads that 'belong' to motor vehicles only are Motorways. Clue's in the name!
What a load of bollocks this all is. I can't see it going through, and if it did, it would be a huge waste of public money to make it happen. And policing it? HAH!

I'd suggest waiting until the winds have died down. Also I think this evening people are trying out the new KingsX court.
There are spare boards (the new black ones) under tarp on the NW corner. I'd suggested rebuilding that corner at the last repair session but there simply wasn't enough daylight or hands.
Could anyone transport the eight 2 metre sections of 2x4 I have in my house? These would be very useful as to make new uprights.
