what lock did it have?

It was an Abus Steel O Chain 810 (I think?) – the one with the integrated lock.

I'll keep an eye out for it town, but when my bike got pinched from ox last year it ended up ebay. I don't know if there's one or many crews taking bikes in oxford or which channels the bikes go down once they're taken but if I were you I'd keep an eye online and in london at brick lane etc.

A friend of mine has just had his bike stolen in Oxford (near Gloucester Grn) - he's not a forum member so I'm posting this as a favour...

It's a Single Speed - un-painted vintage Alan Bolted Alu Frame (1970's I think?) with almost exclusively Campag parts. I'm listing this from memory so bare with me on the details...

• Alan Bolted Alu Frame (Fairly small - approx 52cm)

• Campag Crankset (Strada?)

• Un-wrapped drops (not sure of brand)

When I've met up with him I'll edit the post with more accurate details.

The bike is gorgeous (IMO) but does have many distinguishing features so there'll be no problem identifying it to the police.

Like dicki said - thickness of the teeth.

If you put them side by side there's a noticeable difference (IMO). I didn't want to mix formats, hence why I bought a replacement in 1/8, and am selling this one.

Did it this year fixed (48x18), 9:30 start - found it ok but got held up a lot in the first 25miles, spent a lot of time queueing.

It's a shame people don't walk on the left on all the hills, like they do going up Ditchling?!
