Had a beautiful off day in Surrey. I was ruined after 3 big nights on the piss however did manage 60km whilst taking in a few hills. Finished with a hair of the dog pint at the rather strange Smith and Western atop Box Hill and a descent and well needed train ride home.

It literally felt twice as hard as other Surrey jaunts I've done purely due to the booze in the days leading up to it. Will be trying again next week sans hangover!

I have most of a 7800 groupset sitting around - cranks (full size not compact but also have an ultegra compact), front mech (band on though size forgotten), brake calipers and sti's (you need to supply rear mech and possibly a front mech to fit)

^ Pity the 7900 cranks are proper fugly. If I could afford some 7800 stuff I'd be all over it as I still have 7400 that's running perfectly.

I'm already going to have to sell a bike to fund a groupset at the Ultegra level and I'm not good enough to tell the fecking difference anyway.

Not fishing, just trying to get an overveiw of what people like/dislike about their groups. I do really need to test ride a few set ups but that will invlove me blagging shops over the weekend. It being Friday and all I thought I'd ask around rather than do any actual work.
